This place is the pits when it comes to customer service. I advise everyone do not go to this place. I would not recommend this family dollar to anybody. My first disappointment came when the price posted for the product was cheaper than what the cashier rang up. I told her and even showed her the posted price. She refused to change what she charged me. I asked for a manager and she told me she was the manager. She said she would lose her job if she were to give me the posted price. As instructed on the receipt, I did report the issue online. I requested a response. I never got one.
My second experience was purchasing a food product. When I got home, I realize it was past the expiration date. I returned to the store with the product and receipt. They did give me a refund. All of the product on the shelf were expired. I told this to the cashier. However, I went back to the store about a month later and all of the same expired product were still on the shelf. I told the sales associate. She told me she was new on the job and she did not put it there.
I find this place insulting to the customer. These stores come into our community, our neighborhood and totally disrespect us. Not only will I no longer go to this family dollar in my neighborhood, I won’t go to any family dollar. I urge everyone not to spend your money at family dollar. Especially this one located 14929 Greenwood Rd in Dolton.

They have things that I need that the drug store has and some things the grocery. Store has but it is a little bit cheaper and I like it

Consistently I go to this store and the Tap to Pay and Apple Pay are down. I have reported this many times and the staff have indicated they have reported it to corporate, yet this has not been fixed. Other neighborhoods don’t have these issues. The district manager needs to follow up with the stores in this area to make sure payment services are available. There is really no excuse for these services to continually be down.

This is my neighborhood store and in the 13 years I shopped here I would say yes this is a good family dollar to shop in. The staff are pretty good with assisting the customers.

Great Experience! on 03/01(Calumet City). "Morning shift" -Staff member was very pleasant.I asked cashier for assistance.Great Customer Service.Staff member went out of her way to assist me.She located the container that I needed. She also showed me a related product.I was greatly impressed. What a Positive attitude.

I went in this store yesterday evening to return some expired coffee, I ask to speak with a manager the young lady said( what u need? That's no way to address anyone that's spending there money in your establishment! I preceded to tell the lady why I was returning the coffee, if looks could kill she acted like she didn't want to give me a refund.. This was very nasty & distasteful customer service.
