Stayed at this lovely RV park for just shy of 2 months total. The front desk ladies and also the maintenance man Frank are all amazing. I was shocked to hear that we get refunded the remainder of the month if we don't finish it out. That's uncommon and a great touch! The RV park is located close to a bad area (east St. Louis) however i felt safe my entire stay and i was in the front spot right in front of Sawmill BBQ. Sure you hear ambulances throughout the day.. sure you hear road noise... sure.. but isn't that expected knowing that it is located on a busy road? Again, i stayed in the front spot so i had front row to the noise and none of that bothered me. Some people find reasons to complain on reviews about little stuff like that. It's really not that big of a deal lol. If you're picky about stuff like that then this park is not for you and you will just miss out on the opportunity to stay at a great park. Lots of travel nurses stayed here from my understanding as well. Washers ran about $2-2.50 depending on load and same for dryers. Not bad! Also don't forget your Sawmill BBQ discount for staying at this park!

We chose this spot because it was close to the Arch. We paid $61.50 with our Good Sam discount for a one night stay. The drive with our RV to the Arch was quick and easy, with free parking for buses at the Arch for our RV. That was the good part. The site we were given at Cahokia was nothing more than a spot in a crowded parking lot, very close to others. Gravel and pavement all around. We didn't use the sewage disposal out of consideration for our neighbor's water supply, which were very close together. No wifi in the park. Convenience to St. Louis is the only positive here. We had expected to use the shuttle to go the Arch, but the shuttle did not operate on Saturday even though their ad said it did. The price seemed steep for what the park was like.

Friendly and helpful staff. Got a hit because security gate doesn't open until 6:00 am. Put me behind schedule for a road trip.

Mostly long term. Sites are VERY close together. No grass, except one large field in the back. Right on highway so quite noisy. Jessica in the office was friendly though.

They have a shuttle bus to take you to town. $10 per person round trip. They do not promote this, so if it is of interest to you, you have to ask. (We learned this from another reviewer). We used it and are glad we did. The sites here are tight! But we were only here a couple of nights, and it was so close to the Arch it made it worth it to us. They have a laundry and showers. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They also have a pool. TV antenna worked great. The internet is nonexistent unless, you walk up to the store and sit. There is a restaurant right in front of the park with its entrance in the park. 10% discount for the campers. We only had the fries which complemented our hotdogs :). And warm cheesecake which was great! Sawmill B-B-Q is the name of the restaurant. The highway noise was TERRIBLE!!!!!Would only stay here again if visiting the Arch.

Wow...what a great stay we had here. We are traveling from Ontario Canada through the states and back into Alberta Canada for a wedding and decided to stay in St Louis for a few days. The location we choose was great. Very friendly and helpful check in, the grounds were clean, the showers were great also. Not far from all the sights we wanted to see visit and still had time to cool off in the pool that is maintained nicely. The price was good.Overall a 10 out of 10...we will be back!

This campground seemed to have more seasonal or full timers. Very basic sites. Clean enough. We did not use bathrooms or showers. Office staff was very helpful and the availability of a shuttle was so nice! Driver was very knowledgeable and prompt. Downside was absolutely no Wi-Fi or cable. Also had a very good BBQ restaurant on site.Nearby activities: The reason we chose this campground was because of its proximity to downtown St. Louis and the attractions we were most interested in. Minutes from the Arch, Union Station, stadium etc.Safety: Campground was not in an ideal neighborhood, though we did not experience any issues, would not recommend traveling into Cahokia Heights after dark.

Super friendly! Totally accommodating! We loved it here! As semi-new rv travelers, I have to say this rv park is the best we've stayed at. The Sawmill restaurant on premises is excellent as well!

And Sawmill BBQ is delicious!Safety: While there is not a gate, we felt very safe.Food & drinks: Sawmill BBQ was fast and delicious! Our first taste of white bbq sauce and gooey butter cake. ?

Seriously not worth the price you pay! Unless you are staying for a night, don't do it.. we stayed 30 days.. don't do it!No internet in the park (only at the office).People staying full time run this place (loud music past 10pm, burn trash in fire pits so it smells horrible in your RV).The maintenance man does not care about your property, so when he is mowing you will need to pay attention!Again the full time people run this place after hours, and they are mixed in with everyone else, so be mindful!Save yourself the cost of 800$! This place is not worth the price or the stay! WE WILL NOT STAY AGAIN AND WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW TO STAY AWAY!! the owners are selling, so they DONT CARE ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!!Noteworthy details: OVER PRICED!!!!!! BAD PLACE TO STAY!!

Campground is unkempt. Our site was not the one we reserved. Put us in a very tight unmowed with water running through it. An old wooden falling apart porch was in the way of our steps. Most people are living here. Just looks dumpy.Nearby activities: Was close to the arch.

When I was there there were plenty of spaces for motorhomes as well is tow behind RVs. 30 and 50 amp services. They also had a shuttle but did not run very late but Uber and Lyft were not far

The person at check-in was very friendly. Sites are tight but adequate for what we need. It is close to Gateway Arch, Grant's farm, Ulysses S. Grant's home.

First off we didn’t get site we reserved even though it was empty while we were there. The site we got was terrible. Hardly fit our 33 ft fifth wheel. We couldn’t open our steps correctly due to a falling apart wooden porch thing in the way so we had to put wood under one side then our door wouldn’t close because it was crooked. Finally got it to close after trying for an hour. There was a water run off righ5 outside the door had to jump over. Most people live there permanently and place just very unkempt, grass not cut. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Excellent location for st Louis and Cahokia mounds. Clean facilities and shaded spot during heat wave. Super nice staff. They gave us our refund on our second night because we decided to get home early. Sawmill restaurant with excellent food 50 ft from our camper and discount for campers . Highly recommend this place.
