I rented the dining hall for a memorial service for my cousin who had passed away. This was on a Saturday. When I got there to set up, there were locked gates across the hall to get to the dining room. I had to go through the gym to get there. The city was called to come unlock the gates but nobody showed up. Everyone who came to the memorial had to walk all the way around the gym to get to the dining room. We were even blocked off from getting to the restrooms without walking all the way around through the gym which had been rented by others and there were youth in there playing basketball. This was especially hard on the senior women who were present.
