my family and i went to the best buy outlets to get a new washer because ours broke on us. what i thought was going to be a quick and simple process was the exact opposite. my dad and i went to look at the washers and found one that we liked and set up the delivery and installation. our total was nearly $600. also they told us they only deliver from thursdays-saturdays or something like that which i thought was weird but whatever. we scheduled for the next friday they had available as the days go on the midwest weather got nasty and they weren’t able to bring it that friday as scheduled. completely understandable but they weren’t really helpful in aiding us with more information on when we could get it delivered. they were slow in response time about this issue which was discouraging. they we able to deliver it on the following wednesday which was good but weird because they said they didn’t deliver on those days?!?!? anyway i came home today (wednesday) and my dad is trying to install the washer when he PAID them to deliver AND INSTALL the washer. the guys delivering the washer said they couldn’t install it because of where the pipers were or something dumb like that. which means they need to give us the money back for installation. i am regretfully writing this review just in case it can help others but i am deeply disappointed but hey we got our washer and that’s all that matters to me.

Sad selection of electronics. We were looking for a new DVD player, hoping to find a good deal. They had ONE in that whole place, and it was NOT a good deal. However, the sales girl looked it up on the computer and located it quickly. There were several appliances, but we didn't shop in that area, so I don't know if they were good bargains or not.

I live in Joliet. So its takes me roughly an hour there and an hour back. I brought an open box LG C2 65in TV in Good condition. Basically like new. Included everything but missing a screw. The screwed up part? When I seen BB had soundbars on clearance. Since BB decided you can't call the stores anymore, I took my chances on 3 Open Box - Fair Soundbars, that had subwoofers etc... I figured, I'd chance my luck on getting something mostly complete. I can buy cables or wires. I don't wanna re-buy the sub or soundbar. I got there after being told by CS from 1800 Best Buy that they basically had everything included, but was missing power cables. I'd figured, I'd select the best one I wanted, and return the other two. WRONG. The rep scanned my code, and brought out just three soundbars with nothing else. No cables! No wires! No subwoofers. I asked, Where the rest was?The manager who was checking me out, confirmed that Open Box basically means you don't get anything beside the one item stated. Your lucky if you get anything. I then asked how do I confirm if the items work? She said she can't confirm. Then got annoyed because I wanted to return them.Well I was pissed because I wasted 2 hours basically already. One hour driving there and would be another hour driving back. So I looked quickly on my phone and seen one stated Open Box Excellent. Which means "A product that looks and works like new, plus all original parts and accessories. What might be missingOriginal packaging, owner’s manual, and manufacturer registration."I asked her if she can look it up and tell me if its complete as it should be.She stated nah its missing cables. What cables? She couldn't even tell me. After I argued that its Open Box Excellent, and what the conditions stated, she basically walked away from me.So I went to find another worker to help me. Who looked and found it on the shelf. Tell me why, It was basically missing everything too! Tell me they had two apparently. One was in Fair condition and One was in Excellent Condition. The fair condition one was just the soundbar again, and the excellent one was the soundbar with the power cable, but missing, the Wireless SubwooferRear Speakers and Wireless ModuleWall Mount KitRemote Control. They said I don't know what to tell you. I don't know if its really includes all that. I said why would someone mark it as Excellent then? They said it was marked incorrectly apparently, but they had no desire to help me either.By this time, they asked if I wanted the Manager on duty. Which I didn't know was the original person helping me out earlier was the manager. I explained how I didn't wanna go home empty handed after driving a hour here. Could she do something? I'll mark it down to fair but that's final. (Fair Condition was only $30 less). I said this is your guys fault. You should at least fix this? They said nope, and I walked away empty handed, and the soundbar is still listed on the site in Excellent condition. Model: HW-Q750B/ZA SKU: 6505885I hope someone from the store contacts me, because they can look it up at the store and see the Excellent condition model is missing almost everything included or needed for the soundbar.

The store itself is actually a great place to get a deal on appliances. I purchased a practically brand new fridge for 60% off ($4,500 -> $1,800) because there was a large scratch on the freezer door. The Best Buy employees were very helpful in scheduling the delivery of the appliances to our new home. However, this review is in large part to the delivery and installation of the appliance. I highly recommend you avoid using their delivery and installation services because they contract the service to a third party. The delivery team sent to our house did not even make an attempt to try and remove the door hinges, refrigerator doors, or try to bring the fridge inside our home.We paid for the delivery ($100), waterline kit ($25), and for the install of the waterline kit ($30), but essentially we paid $155 for our fridge to be delivered from Best Buy to our garage. I had to hire guys from Home Depot in order to get the fridge inside and installed in our home. The original delivery team said it would not be possible to bring the fridge inside because it was "too big" and the screen door couldn't be removed, but the Home Depot guys brought it inside and installed in less than 30 minutes. The delivery team sent by Best Buy also stole my tape measure since the one they brought broke while measuring the entrance.Get your own delivery/installation team instead of the ones provided by Best Buy because you might find yourself in the same situation I was.

Remodel needs some getting used to. There's no more physical media like CDs or DVDs. There's more space for appliances now. There's also random Lego kits scattered throughout the store

It’s a pretty small store. They had very limited items, but a variety of things such as appliances and technology products among other things. To be honest, they were more than overstaffed, yet we waited for 30+ minutes for someone to come to us, despite asking different associates for help multiple times. When they did come up to us they couldn’t even answer our questions with certainty. They kept saying “I think” and “I’m not sure” and just stood there. I understand you may not know, but find the answer. After that we went up to another associate and asked him to call a manager to see if I could get my questions answered. It was still another 15 minute wait before she came up because she was laughing and playing around with another associate. She did claim to us that the associates had never notified her that we needed her assistance, but she could’ve still checked up on us, as we had been waiting for a long period of time. Although, when she finally came to see us she was very helpful and knowledgeable. However, I just think it’s crazy how hard they are on their prices. I had an inquiry over an older iPad model. It was an open box return, but it was missing the charging box and charging cable. They had it priced 10$ cheaper than what the normal Best Buy had it at. I asked them if they could do anything on the price since it was missing parts and had scratches and they said the prices are as is. It’s an outlet, you’re trying to get rid of the things. Maybe when the item is at regular price, it’s a good discount, but this iPad model has been on discount for months. It just surprises me how they don’t want to sell items.Overall, the store is somewhat clean, but a lot of things aren’t priced and there isn’t a lot of help… well useful help. I would definitely recommend speaking to a manager because they are the only ones that seem to know what they are doing.Side note: When I was browsing through fridges and washers, a lot of these items are visibly used and have food or a horrible humid stench. Definitely check your items before buying them. I was looking for a small fridge for my apartment and I nearly threw up on the aisle. This is just embarrassing that the store lets these items get through. Like by all means, sell the used appliances, but wipe them down. It’s disgusting. Due to all this I decided to just not waste my time anymore. My aunt recommended to check out a Lowe’s outlet on Pulaski and I got my fridge for 75% in box. Although, they only have a 2 day return policy, I got an extended warranty on my fridge for 3 years for 50$. I wasn’t kept waiting and was instantly greeted and assisted. Highly recommend for anyone looking for appliances.

If you need a TV or kitchen appliance, this is the place to go. Some with very deep discounts. Saw a TV twice the size of mine for $100 less than I paid just 5 years ago.
