I joined Sky Fitness in February of 2023.A few friends encouraged me to join so we could play basketball. My whole life I have been overweight, and working out was not something I did for both mentally lazy reasons and also self conscious reasons. The self conscious stuff stemmed from feeling judged or shameful because I was not fit. At Sky, there is no judgement, unlike other gyms there are no alarms or an enforced “no judgement zone.” All the patrons are extremely friendly and the staff is as helpful and cordial as possible. You won’t find Gen Z losers taking photos of themselves in mirrors or recording their workouts in a pretentious attempt to find meaning in their vapid lives.Long story short, Sky care about their members and it shows. From the immaculate gym equipment, to the studios, to the cross fit gym, to the pool, Sky management cares about how their facility appears and more importantly: functions. The equipment is cleaned multiple times a day, I’ve witnessed it myself. The locker room facility, the jacuzzi, steamroom and sauna are top tier and sometimes if I’m too tired to workout I just use those facilities.I think the most important part is the value I feel I get. I live very close to MidTown and Lifetime but they’re cost prohibitive for me. Sky offers everything they do at a reasonable monthly rate and that’s the crux of my decision to be a member as well as why I continue to be a member.

Just started a membership here. Can update the review as needed. They seem to have a good amount of amenities for the price. Looking forward to the hot yoga classes.

Sky is one of the best gyms I've visited. The place is clean and has good equipment.Very nice people. Nancy is always welcoming and positive. This place deserves 5 stars, The only reason I can't do 5 is that the closing time is 10pm.This issue may not affect others, but for me personally, it is important due to my work schedule. It's just a bit frustrating when you don't have enough time to enjoy this beautiful facility.Posting this review with hopes that maybe there are others with the same issue, once management will see it, hopefully they can think about extending the time at least until 11pm.

Powerlifting Room Speakers have not been functional.Update: My original review was a lil harsh because I was going through stuff. Regardless, Larry took prompt action to pass on the information and fix the speakers within a couple days! Major shoutout to the sky team for getting this under wraps

if you are an early morning person who likes to swim, watch out for the pool bullies. They don't care if you are in the lane first, They show up with their speaker, blast music and try to push people out of the lanes that they want for their "class,," which is not an official class, just one that they decided to create. If you are in their way (even if you are there first), they will attempt to block you. Spoke with the director, he talked to them, and they still persist on trying to push people around. Sounds like 8th grade, eh? I am a professional and business owner and would NOT tolerate this behavior. Since when can you have 6-8 people in one swim lane? I love the club, but truly not sure if I will continue to put up with the old bats.

I attended a Gong Immersion event at Avani Studios at Sky Fitness. A gong immersion, or gong bath, does not involve water but instead being immersed in the sound vibrations of a gong, believed to be healing to the body by entering a relaxing or meditative state. I knew what to expect because I had attended a gong bath many years ago. That experience had me falling asleep, experiencing synaesthesia, seeing explosions of light, color and sound, as well as feeling very peaceful and relaxed. This immersion was held in the yoga studio and was at capacity. You set down a mat, and other blankets, with feet in the direction of the gong. (This event had five sound healers and gongs). We started with some stretches and yoga. Then you lie down, palms up, legs uncrossed and listen. It's hard to describe the sound. It's deep, almost like a rumble, kinda like the cymbals, but more than just hearing, I also felt it in my pulse. With five gongs it's almost like a symphony with sounds and vibrations building on top of each other but you don't just hear it coming from the direction of your feet, it seems to be coming from every direction, immersing you in vibration. At this point I went in and out of sleep and certain sounds made my limbs twitch. One certain sound seemed to jolt me awake and I saw yellow or green pops of color (my eyes were closed). After that, I started to get restless and could not stay still and needed to stretch. I think at that point I had enough and it was maybe 10 minutes more (the total gong portion was 75 min?). I felt very tired (perhaps extremely relaxed?) and calm, my eyes were tearing (???), and we then had a short deep breathing and meditation. The gong practitioners were lovely, beautiful souls who promoted peace and healing. I felt at peace and in a more refreshed state of mind than when I started. I would attend another of these events but next time I would bring more blankets.

Larry and his team have been helping us the last two years host our non-profit organizations annual pickleball fundraiser. They make it super easy and the staff on duty are kind and helpful. The pickleball courts are by far the nicest ones around and are kept up very well. Thank you again Sky Fitness for your help and support in making our fundraiser a success!
