Bought a couple of glazed ceramic planters today (many similar planters to those pictured are currently marked down by 25%, just FYI). One kind staff member offered to push one of my carts for me because I was juggling my 2 year old. Also, saw <what I think> is a watchful Cooper’s Hawk sitting in a tree outside the parking lot. “I had a phenomenal experience shopping here. Tom in millwork was incredibly helpful, detail oriented, and personable. I really enjoyed having him support me.Kelcy was also extremely helpful, as Tom wasn't as familiar with the new ordering system. Kelcy, seeing an opportunity to help, sensed I was in a rush and aided me in completing the transaction and taught Tom along the way. I'm not sure if Kelcy is a manager or not, but he sure seemed like he had the chops to be one. Unbelievably efficient and charismatic.”

“Tom at the Lake Zurich Rental center really helped me out. I was planning on renting a sewer rodding machine because my shower was backing up. After listening to my issue tom suggested the issue was in my septic field. Turns out I took the cover off and the tank was totally full. Tom chose to help me solve my problem over the phone instead of just trying to rent me a piece of equipment. I will think of this rental department whenever I need another tool to rent. Thanks again TOM!”

“Girl at the return counter was very nice, but wouldn’t allow me to exchange an item for the correct item, which is significantly higher priced. I told her i would pay the difference, but they will not do any exchanges without the receipt. The service was fine, but that policy should allow exchanges, esp when the new item is $100 more.”

“50/50 chance to find what you want within 15 mins. 25% chance to find someone to help you find anything without an attitude. 10% chance to find someone that knows more about what you need than you do! lol.And 100% chance the person that helps you will use the same app that I just used and be just as confused as I am. Seriously, I’m usually there for a minimum of 30 mins to get nuts and bolts… you know in those drawers that have nuts and bolts already torn open (stolen) before I got there and no one replenished the stock or took out the empty bags. Regardless, I keep going back. Why? They offer military discounts (10%) and I appreciate that. Bottom line, I eventually find what I’m looking for 90% of the time, it’s just never quick!”

The last year however the people that work there have been amazing and I am really impressed with this place! Brandon and Paul are awesome and Bianca was cool too. “I can't even begin to tell you how helpful, patient and kind that Mike in the Appliance Department was to me. I ordered my GE Electric Stove on line. I decided to go to the Glenview Home Depot so I could see the Refrigerator and Dishwasher. He spent much time with me explaining and answering my questions. He is a cheerful person and I could tell he liked his job. You are lucky to have such an employee! I give 5 Stars to Mike and I look forward to working with him if I should need a washer & dryer. I refuse to shop at your biggest competitor as their prices are too high and they charge fees for every little thing! My contractor agrees and tells his customer to shop at Home Depot for all appliances. Please share this with Mike. Kathie T.”

“AUSTIN?? This review is long overdue??♂️ So to my man's Austin I apologize in advance but I do sincerely hope that you have moved on to higher and new positions. Austin was top tier. You have people who work there and people who just come to work. Well, Austin was the CEO of his own company with the innate qualities of a leader, a can do attitude, and the ability and willingness to do. I had literally watched and heard him assisting another customer. Call it weird but I mean he was handling his. business. He approached the guy in a caring but bold manner, with a confident voice and tone assuring in so many words, that he'd most certainly be able to help him. And help him he did. Had the guy out of there in no time!Well I had went to the next aisle over and was thinking to myself, "shheeesh this kid has potential to definitely be someone great. I wonder what his life is like, how he's become who he is, what exactly did he go through, and if he's put any thought into his future." Legit thoughts, and then out of the blue I hear his voice saying, "Hey do you need any help today?" Whatttt!?!? Let's be real, the average employee would've went off elsewhere to relax having filled their quota. My mans literally was looking for people to help! That's call top tier customer service. And help me he did, I was done within minutes after he helped me.HomeDepot needs more Austin's for real. That's why I'm apologizing for the lateness of this review. My visit there was in August of 2023, the weekend of the 12th. So if he's still there, a manager or HomeDepot yourself, somebody please do right by him.”

“there was a lot of new items and I really like the plant section as I am I have a gardener however, I did notice that there wasn't a lot of selection when it came to stones and towels that I could use in my garden and this was kind of disappointing, especially due to the high rates of drought that are known to be occurring in our area sometimes during the summer but nonetheless, I was very happy with the plant selection and the selection of sand available in this establishment store”
