After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, Jack M. Shapiro moved to Chicago, Illinois and began his legal career as a volunteer attorney for CARPLS legal aid, providing legal advice to Chicago residents on issues of consumer debt, landlord/tenant, and family law. He also volunteered at the legal-aid help desk located inside Daley Center Courtroom 1401, advising pro se defendants on their rights and obligations under the law. After moving to Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Attorney Shapiro worked for several years at an insurance defense firm in the northwest suburbs.
