Our waiter took the time to give us the background of the restaurant and explain multiple dishes, noting the difference in flavors and spices, and giving recommendations. He was so patient and kind, and you could tell he genuinely cared. We loved all of the dishes we ordered. The short-rib special was so delicious and huge! The lamp chops were also out of this world. “My husband and I were engaged for years and we looked at dozens of venues but we never quite connected to any place until we walked into the Nineteenth Century Club. Located in lovely Oak Park, it is directly across from a beautiful piece of land called Austin Gardens - a PERFECT location for outdoor photos.On October 8th 2022, we hosted 250+ people and you would never know it was one of the largest events the Club has hosted. Everything ran smoothly and our guests had an amazing time.Filled with antique charm but with all the modern conveniences you can ask for, we knew immediately that this was the place. We worked almost exclusively with Woody who is just phenomenal at his job. At the time of our wedding he was both the coordinator AND the chef. As a coordinator he is thorough, honest, and incredibly accommodating. He has dozens of “preferred vendors” that know this venue inside and out. As a chef - let’s just say we STILL get compliments on the food which is saying a lot as we had a Sicilian/Filipino wedding - two cultures where food is KING. It was delicious! Our experience with Woody was a blessing - so much so we consider him a friend to this day!PLEASE DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP. Take a tour. Meet with Woody. I promise you will not regret it.”

“I haven't visited this park in over five years. We hiked for two hours. My friend Andrea led the hike. It was very peaceful and clean. They even have a black- owned smoothie bar at the entrance of the stairs. I will definitely visit again.”

The cashier/ server was gracious and helpful in working on getting us a drink/ food deal based on available product.They were both knowledgeable and helpful!Some of the best service I've had in a long time.Also had lots of issues with our lane/pins/ball return and they switched us as soon as possible. ☺We also got 100 arcade credits for only $30 and that lasted the almost hour wait for a lane and then a good 20 minutes after we were done bowling!Games are 1-5 credits (not bad! My favorite, skeeball was only 1 credit! )And there were lots of cool prizes too!I got a purple teddy bear with a lime green bowlero shirt for only 1000 tickets! (His name is Benny ?)About $200 spent on a family of 4 and that included unlimited bowling- (we played 3 games), 6 long Island ice teas, appetizer/ beer special and 100 arcade credits!My 11 & 4 yr old boys had so much fun- but I think my partner and I had MORE fun! ♥TOTALLY WORTH IT!10/10I would go back again and recommend to everyone!Great service. “We were in the area and remembered that Two Chefs was down the street. We have emotional ties to this restaurant because they catered our wedding in 2011 and we were very impressed with their food. The waitress greeted us at the door and was very professional, polite, and well dressed. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, it was very flavorful. The chicken was very tender and the crust was flaky like you would expect. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli it was so delicious and brought back memories. We will be back for sure when we are in the area again. If your in the area, I recommend giving this place a try!”

“A classic date night spot. Great drinks but even better food. The gnocci is phenomenal and always outstanding pizza options. The upstairs area is beautiful as well! Love it in the summer because they open the windows up and get to enjoy the outside.”

Miguel, the manager, is beyond professional, enthusiastic, friendly and accommodating. He is extremely knowledgeable and calm which made the process seamless!!! The food was delicious. The cake was delicious. The bartenders were friendly and enthusiastic! The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. We planned an anniversary party and our guests were truly impressed. “We visited here as it was on the Frank Lloyd Wright map, and although he wasn't the architect, we were still interested to see the work of one of his contemporaries. We were greeted by Theresa, who took us on a tour of the whole house which lasted around an hour and a half. Theresa was so lovely and it was an absolute pleasure to meet and be guided by her. She was so knowledgeable about the house and the families who had lived there, and my partner and I walked away feeling like we had learned so much. The house itself is full of surprises and interesting quirks, and Theresa did a brilliant job of bringing it to life for us. We absolutely loved our time there, but also feel sad that a house of such historical importance isn't receiving the funding needed to fully restore it. I really recommend taking this tour, as not only will you enjoy learning about this amazing house, you will also be helping to preserve its place in history.”
