Love this place. Super great with customer service and don’t try to get money off of you. Appreciate them and their loyalty to their customers. Highly recommend this spot if you need an oil change or need air for your tires.

They incorrectly reinstalled a skidplate on my 2019 Honda Fit and that resulted in it partially falling off and becoming damaged in under 50 miles of driving after the simple oil change.
I went in for an oil change on a Friday and they finished the oil change quickly, but then spent 10-20 minutes installing the plastic skid plate that was originally on my car. This was weird, since its only 8 screws, but I didnt think anything of it.
3 days later on 9/17/2024, I noticed that the skidplate was dragging with less than 50 miles since the oil change. I looked under the car and saw that it partially detached and began to be damaged due to it scraping on the ground. When I went back in, the manager Demarco admitted that his technicians installed it incorrectly and then used a zip tie to keep it "secure" after taking pictures on his phone. He ensured that it is secure and "isn't going anywhere." He mentioned that the technicians would have filled out the damage on the service reciept if there was damage to the skidplate prior to performing service, to cover themselves. The reciept did not mention damage. The manager Demarco then said he would review the security camera footage that they have on every service bay and review the work to make sure that it was their fault before offering compensation, and then call me back.
He then proceeded to not call me back, because he was "busy." 9/23/2024 my son was born and I spent a few weeks with him in the NICU. I came back on 10/14/2024 when I realized the allegedly "secure" zip-tie that Demarco installed had failed again. He then proceeded to tell me that he checked the cameras and saw that my vehicle came in with less screws that it was supposed to have, but they replaced them while reinstalling it and did it correctly. He confirmed that it was not damaged prior, which is convenient, because that is admitting that the initial reinstallation of the skidplate was done incorrectly and all subsequent damage was a result of the incorrect installation. This is in addition to there not being any mention of prior damage on the reciept/service record.
He then mentioned that it fell off due to my poor driving style and not his previously admitted negligence. At this point, I realized he most likely didn't call back because he either realized his company was at fault and wanted to see if I would "let it go," or just never looked into it to begin with. Now that I realized that it was fully the negligence of this valvoline location, I told him I recorded the previous conversation of admitting to the improper maintenance during our previous conversation. As expected, he began to panic and became defensive about the recording, but didn't deny his technicians wrongdoing regarding my skidplate. He told me it was illegal to record, but conventially forgot that they have cameras that record me and the service bays to ensure "quality" service, and they keep the recordings for 2 months. The way i understand it, since Illinois is a 2-party consent state, I acknowledged consent to being recorded while getting service because I can see the cameras recording me, and they acknowledged consent by being the ones recording everything openly. Oops. Now since we both agreed to being recorded, my recordings are legal, right?
My next steps are to contact corporate to get them involved since the manager would rather hide and lie about his technicians mistakes. Unfortunately, he would not allow me to see the "evidence" he gathered, so this is my only recourse.
Don't shop here, unless you would like things installed incorrectly and to have a nice high risk of your vehicle falling apart. Then to be bullied by management.

Every time I come in here there is a new manager. I was in 3 weeks ago, the manager was Joe. He was great, knowledge, nice, took his time with me, made me feel like he cared. I went back in this week and it's someone else the whole vibe changed. I guess I'll be finding some place else to go.

This place ruined my car I went in for a oil change a few months ago they guy came and told me I needed a new oil filter which would be 30 extra not including the 100plus for the oil change. After I left my oil pressure light came on I went back they where closed by that time and months later my oil pressure light is still on and no one can help me as to why. Completely ruined my vehicle do not come here

I just came and asked them to check my oil because my car was making noises, there were no customers and all the employees came and inspected my car so that was nice. Il come back for my next oil change.

Our experience with this Valvoline oil change location was awesome!
Both my mother and I who are elders, would like to commend the staff who worked on our car - Jazmin, JaJuan, and Mike, and the guy who did our oil change in the bottom level (I forgot to get his name) were all exceptional. They worked great as a team, they were very courteous, and knowledgeable of my questions since we drive a Hybrid car and wanted to be sure we could do an oil change here.
These individuals are more conscious of providing on point service, friendly and exceptional service than at the dealership! In appreciation of their exceptional service these workers deserve to be commended and rewarded for their outstanding service. Thank you all for your hard work and great service - God Bless you! :)
