The worst customer service! This agency was originally owned by a friend and he wrote our Commercial Auto Policy. After our friend sold the agency it has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with the Bertino employees. Most times they won’t return phone calls, and when they do they hadn’t bothered to listen to the messages left.The owner of our company contacted their office to cancel our policy when we moved our business out of state. The owner was told “you’re not on the policy, so you can’t cancel it”, obviously, the owner was dumbfounded. After several other attempts to reach someone to only get voice mail, I had to return to Chicago so I decided to stop in the office personally. There, I spoke to Rick in the Montgomery office and explained we had moved and need to cancel our current policy. He looked up our policy, typed something into his computer, asked when the new policy took effect, and entered something else and stated “ok, I took care of it and I entered the new policy effective date so your refund should go back to that date.” Great, I left the office thinking another task finished.Ah, but no! The following month we were auto-billed once again for the premium. I contacted their office and, once again, getting no answer, I left a voicemail. The woman who called me back told me she would get the message to Rick. I did not hear back for 3 three days so I called again. This time I called the Montgomery office number and Rick answers the phone. After identifying myself and explaining what’s going on, he stated “oh yeah, you came in here last month, well let me check”. He came back and said he needed to look something up and would call me right back. 2 days later I still didn’t get that call. So, again I called, no answer, leave a voicemail. By now, I’m steamed. A woman called back, and again, did not listen to the vm left. After explaining what’s been happening she told me I had to call Allstate Business Center – they have no one that handles commercial policies. Wait? What? Why wasn’t I told this from the beginning?I contacted Allstate Business and after having to explain all that had transpired, the agent there took care of cancelling the policy and processing the refund. I even got an email confirming. It helps when you speak to a professional.Bottom line, don’t go near this agency if you want any kind of customer service.

would never recommend this insurance/place they are very unprofessional. They hide information from you until you end up in a situation and they leave you hanging telling you it is what it is . Please do yourself a favor and look for another insurance agency.

Had trouble rating from the link sent to me! Paul and Nina are the best! Called for homeowners insurance. Paul ask me if he could give me a bundle quote by adding my two vehicles! This saved me over $1000.00 per 6 months! Great pricing, services and professionalism!!!

I have come into the office 3 times now and I have never met or talked to Paul F. Bertino.He works out of the Joliet office and according to Gale the secretary he is almost never here. Gale has done all of my policy to this point and has told me that she is not an Allstate agent. I have also not recieved any correspondents from Paul other than the automatic e-mails that Allstate sends out for him. Very dissapointing that Paul F. Bertino has come to a point were he is so comfortable that he doesn't have to or feel the need to do anything with his customers. Also when I walked in today all Gale said was how can I help you. Not hello how are you doing today. Or anything quality like that. Also to get to my information I had to give my policy number instead of them knowing who I was as one of their customer's or just asking my name because I am one of their customers. Then in the middle of explaining my reason for being upset another agent behind us(Rick or Rich) tryed to tell me that it was rude to call her a secretary. Then he proceeded to tell me that she was an agent. After I just asked her 5 minutes before if she was an agent and she told me I was an agent for 15 years but I am no longer an agent. So why he butted into our conversation with false information and tryed to sell it to me thatI was out of line. Also after being their customer for 6 months with no accidents or tickets my policy went up a $120 for 6 months. So please keep in mind if you become an Allstate customer They will give you a price and then continue to jack it up as time goes on. Just another corrupt corporation that only has themselves in mind.We the people need to stop these monsters from what they are doing. All they care about is money and control.

I love the ease I can get help with any questions I have regarding my account. They are always thorough with the facts and take time to explain. I am pleased with the premium I received. I hope I never have to incur a claim but feel confident it would be handled promptly and with care and concern.
