Terrible customer service. I’ve been trying for a minimum of 6 weeks trying to close my dads savings account, he passed away 7 months ago. I have provided all the information requested and can’t get a phone call back after repeated messages left. It took 5 visits before we found a personal banker to give me the information needed to close this account. I provided it all, was told I’d hear within a week. After 4 weeks of nothing, I started leaving messages. 4 before I received a call back. Excuses on how busy they were. Couldn’t call with a 2 minute update. Provided further information. Called an additional 4 times before getting an update, excuses, blame on their lawyers part. My dad was their customer for over 50 years, and this is how they treat their customers. Beyond frustrated

The President is incompetent and near impossible to reach. He is a weasel. He puts more effort into defecting on his customers than helping to resolve issues reasonably as human being.My mother banked there for over 30 years and when she got ill and I had to be her POA he, through a teller/manager blocked access to her account for an issue with her poa paperwork. They all know my mother. This is unacceptable from this man that he actively road blocked us.There once was a time customer loyalty outweighed anything. Not from this guy. He doesn’t know the meaning of that. He’s a corporate bot for a tiny, pathetic bank. I know used car salesmen that offer better customer loyalty. That says a lot

After 35 years I can’t open my online account.I opened it after the renovation but now I’m unable to access it.It’s important that I know what checks have been processed.They don’t have a technical department.I went there 3 times hoping that they would either open my online account or delete the current one and open another account.They said “sorry we don’t know how and don’t have a technical department”.I might have to close my entire account and go elsewhere.

I love this place. My mortgage has been with them for years. I have my own personal banker. She looks out for me and makes me feel very comfortable. Very professional and goes above and beyond to assist me. I've referred several people here. While friends complain about how they are treated by other banks, I enjoy the expert advice and wonderful treatment at Midland.

I bank at the branch on 69 th street. The first complaint I have is I was charged a services charge of 5.00 a month at the bank cause I didn't do any with that account for a year! The second is now they are going to charge me 5% to put my change in my account. People are struggling now and these banks keep charging you to save for your retirement. That is terrible you call talk to customer service. They say sorry, that is what the bank new rules are! Guess I will pull my money out and fine one that helps the customer save money , then give my hard earned money to the banks profit!

Worst bank and customer care. Recently had family members switch from this bank because of missing money and they have no explanations. Can not ever get a hold of anyone here and they do not return phone calls!! Nothing but issues after issues. I can't wait to have a day off work to close my account and go elsewhere. Would not recommend to anyone!!

I don't understand the negative reviews. This place has amenities that most places don't offer anymore - Trust Department (Linda), safety deposit boxes, free coffee, and I don't even drink coffee. When I'm there, I sit down with a personal banking rep in minutes, when I'm on the phone, I get a polite response every time. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I appreciate the personal attention. I started with Midland decades ago with the little bank they had on 69th st. in Marquette Park. I'd recommend this bank any day.

Have been going here for years....mortgage was here, safe deposit box is here and savings were here back in the day when you got interest. All in all its OK, kind of dated. A lot of times its very slow here....at least the employees should give the impression they are working instead of reading the Sun Times and you interrupted them.
