Review of Holiday Inn – A Disappointing Experience
I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Holiday Inn, and I feel compelled to share it. After a long journey, I arrived at the hotel an hour early, hoping to check in a bit before the official time. I was met with polite staff at the front desk who explained that rooms weren’t ready due to late checkouts and suggested I return in 30 minutes. Fair enough.
However, when I returned at exactly 3 p.m., the official check-in time, I was surprised to learn that no room was available. When I politely asked if they could cancel my reservation since they didn’t have a room ready at the designated check-in time, things took a turn for the worse. The two gentlemen at the front desk became incredibly rude and unhelpful. They refused to cancel my booking, even though it was their inability to provide a room on time that led to my request.
I had to reach out to Hotels.com for assistance to cancel my reservation, as I was ready to take my business elsewhere. The staff member then informed me that I would “take the hit” for cancelling, which is absolutely ridiculous—especially since I wouldn’t have requested a cancellation if they had honored the check-in time.
Overall, this experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I would strongly advise against staying at this location. If you’re in the area, head to the Holiday Inn on Webber. I had a much better experience there—the staff were accommodating and understanding, unlike what I dealt with here. Stay away from this location!

I’m writing this review at 1:00 am because, for the third night in a row, there are people being absurdly loud. It sounds like they are right in the hallway, but who knows - the walls here are apparently made of cardboard.
Three times tonight, someone has slammed their door and my bed shook. Literally, it rattled my bed.
Will not be staying at this or any other Holiday in ever again.

Location is convenient, right off I-55. We like to book in person when traveling rather than calling & getting third party registration offices. The price per night was a little higher than the website listed. We felt a smoker had been in the room previously, & sprays were used to mask the smell. We let the front desk know & they were accommodating. The room was nice & clean, beds & pillows were very comfortable. They do have a pool & laundry facilities but we weren’t there long enough to utilize.

I stopped by during a brief trip to Chicago during a business trip to the US.
The staff was the friendliest of all the places I stayed during my business trip! The room is clean and the hot water works well!!
This is a hotel I want to stay at again if I go to Chicago in the future!

If you hate sleeping, stay here. Every damn time I'm out here there's some loud party that they simply must have on the ground floor. If it wasn't for my company I'd find a different place.

I've been staying at this hotel every month for the past year for work and it is easily in my 5 worst places to stay. Every single room I've been in has had broken furniture, bathroom fixtures, TV/phone doesn't work. They provide lunches for the people that use the hotel for business, and one of the times, mine was absolutely packed with ants. The cleaners seem to operate on whatever schedule they like. Over one of my 2 week stays, my room was cleaned 3 times, and only after I complained several days in a row. The restaurant is terrible at worst, mediocre at best. I've gotten a salad and the dressing tasted like it was eons old. If I didn't have to stay here for work, I would have found somewhere else to stay months ago.
