I have been growing my hair out for a decent amount of time now and decided to get it just shaped up. I told the barber to only cut off about half an inch at the most. She cut 3 inches of hair off, 3 whole inches of hair. Every single time she cut she would follow up “is this good or shorter?” Completely ignoring the fact I did not want any type of noticeable length difference. The back of my head is now at max 2 inches in length and does not match the rest of my hair. The neck trim apparently includes halfway up your neck as well so half of that growth was also just shaved off. Genuinely a terrible experience at this location and I was the only one there so there wasn’t any rush for her to finish faster. She butchered my hair and has set me back months of growth. Absolutely appalling work done here.

5-STAR OUTSTANDING REVIEW FOR HAILEE!
I came in to Bolingbrook Great Clips, first customer of the day, on Friday, July 5th. I was assigned a stylist. I asked for a "stranger than normal" haircut (a defined line to be made which will serve as the baseline for an undercut, on all haircuts moving forward) and had pictures to show EXACTLY what I wanted. The girl I was assigned, didn't quite understand what I was asking for, and didn't really bother to look at my pictures, stating "she knew what to do." This girl than started cutting my hair doing the OPPOSITE of what I was asking for.
I politely declined the first girl's services after realizing she hadn't listened to me. Hailee - then took over, listened to me, looked at my pictures, and gave me the PERFECT haircut I was looking for! A+ for Hailee! I will definitely be coming back to this Great Clips location, and asking for Hailee every time! THANK YOU HAILEE! A+

I came in and was told one customer ahead of me that checked in and I’m good with that. So while I’m waiting two more walk ins come in with no appointment and they are taken before me. No I cane see the screen with my name on it as I had to check in when I walked in and no other name before me other than the person who checked in so then they take two customers that did not check in after I arrived and it was obvious they knew them personally so I’m assuming that’s why I was passed over then after sitting there patiently waiting and a technician freed up her biggest concern was a set at the register, counting her tips and leaving me standing there for another 10 minutes so I just got up and left and will never go back. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. They do not care about your time as far as corporate reaching out you guys are just repetitive save your time. I don’t want anything from you but I will recommend people and my friends go to another location. Ps. I own a service business with 10 trucks going to homes all through BOLINGBROOK, Naperville, Plainfield, Joliet, and trust me I will let my guys know to let their customers know. Places that do Business like this should not be around

Excellent! Fantastic customer service! Today 2.8.24 was our grandsons 1st haircut (not in our home, lol.) This was such an apprehensive visit, our 5yr old was really nervous but Lexi made sure he was comfortable and even explained to him every single step of his haircut. What could have been a stressful situation ended up being a great experience. Thank you to the staff at this location and thank goodness for Lexi & Diane for helping our grandson have such a stress free super cool (his words) haircut. BTW, my husband and I also got haircuts (as usual) and are very very pleased. Definitely recommend getting a haircut at this location . You won't be disappointed! Ty so much to Diane and Lexi!

I'm literally in the parking lot after my haircut at the new location in Julian's Plaza. Kelly was my stylist, and i can say beyond a doubt, she is the BEST I've ever had. I've never felt more heard about my thoughts on my hair, asked for her suggestions, and let her work her magic. My birthday is tomorrow and she just made my weekend so joyful. If you want a quality hair cut and style with amazing personality to boot, Kelly is your go-to. I will not let anyone touch my hair again. Thank you Kelly!! You are a gem!!

I will NOT RECOMMEND this place. Second time I had a negative experience. They are a new branch of Great Clips off Webber Rd in Bolingbrook.Here are the details of my second bad experience. I checked in online, it showed me zero minutes of wait time. As I entered the store at 5PM, two people entered with me that did not check online. When the Hispanic stylist lady (Apologies for the regency as I don’t know her name) asked them about the online check in and they said no she told them it’s ok and took them before me. As they were talking I told her that I did check in online. I was told to wait. I could see my name on the screen at the 2nd spot. I sat down and the younger blond lady (again sorry for the reference as I don’t know her name) took the second walk in person that walked in before my appointment.After 30 minutes of waiting the person who was number one on the online check in screen came in and sat down. Once the blond lady finished the hair cut of the walk in person at 5:40 she took the number one person on the screen. At this point I politely asked that I have been waiting for over 40 minutes and you took the walk in people before me and the guy who is first on the list came 30 minutes late, can you please take me next. The blond lady ignored my request, did not reply and took the other guy.After waiting 45 minutes, when the time advised was zero minutes, they took two walk in people before me and the person who was signed in before me and came 30 minutes later I got frustrated, canceled my online check in and just left out of there. I was extremely frustrated, rather than creating a scene I walked out after waiting another few minutes at 6PM. Wasted an hour of my time. Worst part was there was no communication and my request was totally ignored as they did not hear me, I am sure they heard me but just ignored me. This was very bad service.This was my second bad experience at this place involving customers service. Sad part is my hair cut is just a use of number 2 machine setting allover and takes less than five minutes. The few times I have gone there I even tipped same amount as my hair cut i.e. $20 for the cut and $20 for the tip for 5 minutes of work, which now I feel was a mistake and that I was encouraging and tipping the employees of this establishment’s bad service levels.Based on how terrible the customer service is and how potentially a zero minutes of advertised time can mean over an hour of wait time, I will NOT RECOMMEND this place.
