“I was at home when 2 store workers delivered my wife's Washer. They were very professional and Personable. Before they removed the old washer from our basement utility room, they adjusted the downstairs screen door to make it more easier to remove the old washer and add the new washer through the doorway. Once they completed their work they put the screen door back in place.
They were quick and efficient when doing their work. I was extremely pleased with my wife's purchase, and the promptness of the one day delivery service. I highly recommend others to shop at 5 Star Appliance. You will be quite pleased with your selections and their delivery services.”

“I was left in limbo with what to do with my washer as it had locked up on me leaving me to do laundry at the local laundromat until I could get someone out to check the unit. Unfortunately, they were not able to get parts for 6-8 weeks, maybe, and having a new unit delivered was not available until after the 4th of July. Yikes!I then decided to go back to Harry Miller for a new washer and dryer based on my previous shopping experience with them.I was greeted by Sharon and she informed me of the Speed Queens. I was impressed with the made in America as well as the parts and labor warranty. That spoke volumes over what I just experienced with my Maytag Bravos XL, which were only 6 years old! I was concerned as I was currently looking at potentially a week or two on delivery. That was not the case. The items were in stock and ready to be delivered by Wednesday, keep in mind this was Friday when I went to the store and they were able to deliver them the following Wednesday. Thank goodness!The store had called me with a window of when I should expect the delivery the day before my delivery on Wednesday. The team of 3 showed up, hauling my old units away and set up the new ones with instructions on utilization. They were so polite and very professional. After the team had left, I decided to do a load of laundry that was previously done with my Maytag Bravos XL. I had to lift the lid to check the water as it was washing my clothes. The water was slightly cloudy telling me that my Maytag Bravos XL was not cleaning my clothes! Unbelievable!I have noticed a decline in customer service since the Covid pandemic, but not with Harry Miller!Thanks to Sharon @ Harry Miller, I now have a new washer and dryer that actually cleans my laundry.Thank you so much!”

Many personnel counter sales changes some positive some negative -changes over the years , yet there are great front counter and other sales reps that have extremely the best customer service etiquette- much appreciated. but for a small contractor as myself , Johnstone is the lifeline to stay in business.”

“I ordered my products online and picked them up the next day. There were some employees working behind the counter, but they seemed to be more interested in talking to each other, than servicing me.
Another man walked up, and went behind the counter. When he saw no one was servicing me, he quickly asked if I was being serviced.
Overall, aside from the initial encounter, things were okay. Employees should really be more customer friendly.”

“Big shout out to garden department employee Vicky, she helped me find the right mulch and stone for my garden, she also helped me load it onto my truck, pretty strong for a tiny girl! I felt bad for her having to help an old man like me, you'd think some of the other garden employees would help but they were too busy standing around talking instead of working! Guess it hard to find good help these days, hope they keep her around, she appears to the only one working!”
“I visited this location on 22DEC22. The 5 stars for this review are relagated to the associate Nieve. I came into the store stressed and confused looking for an extension cord that likely doesn't exist. I requested for Nieve to help me find it, and they helped me as best they were able. They walk with me to were they sold cords with negative results. They then walked to a computer and put in the specifications for my extension cord, but they didn't sell anything like the one I was looking for. They even attempted to see if they had the snowblower in stock I needed to see if they could better figure out what kind of cord I needed. However, we weren't able to find any pictures to help figure out what cord I needed. Nieve thought it strange by the way I was describing it. However, they were respectful dealing with my later realized error and educated me in a non-condescending way and informed me why the item I was mistakenly looking for likely was wrong. Nieve went over and beyond and deserves recognition for their work ethic, kindness, and knowledgeability. They even gave me the right cord I needed before I left!”

“I needed to buy more tile for my bathroom (to match what I bought 4-5 years ago at Home Depot), but it was discontinued. I talked to Ed Hester, Design Consultant at Home Depot on Elston Avenue in Chicago, IL on March 16, 2023, and he called Daltile in Elk Grove, Illinois. (I had given him the tile manufacturer as well as the SKU number). As Ed patiently tracked it down online, he simultaneously talked to an associate at Daltile. And he found my discontinued tile!! I ordered it today and will pick it up on Monday. Kudos to Ed Hester, Home Depot employee extraordinaire!!”

“The delivery driver Mel is awesome. Always helpful and polite. He goes over and beyond and very thorough.I also love how the staff inside the store handles transactions with my mother Mrs Brewer. “Did not have to wait an hour for them to service me. It was clean, neat, well organized, and welcoming. Every one in every aisle was very helpful!!!! I left a Home Depot because it was a bad experience and ended up at this one which really was great! The cashier Paola and Manger Clifton helped me with my new Home Depot card and checkout. I’m thankful that great customer service still exists. I will never go to Oak Lawn Home Depot again!”
