They closed early before a holiday stay and we were not informed. When we show up to drop off our dog the doors were closed. Again no notice of the early hours and having us to scramble to find somewhere for our dog. They still took no responsibility still would not refund our money. The visit before our dog came home filthy and had dried poop on his butt. Again not even a complimentary bath for this just excuses on their part.

My dogs have stayed at The Barking Lot several times. They don’t seem overly nervous when I drop them off. When I pick them up they seem like they’ve eaten well and they don’t smell bad.

Our pup went for the first time, at drop off i noticed that the woman who took him back was sort of kicking at him to get him away from her and to stop him from jumping. It sort of rubbed me wrong but I decided to give them a chance. When he got back home after picking him up he was suddenly aggressive when trying to put him into the kennel, and flinching at every movement. He is a little rambunctious but I can’t imagine he was so bad that anything he did caused this behavior.

We've been taking our furbabies there for about 3 years now and I have no problems with them. My babies seem to enjoy going there and get treated well while they stay there.

Our kiddos LOVE going to daycare at The Barking Lot. As soon as the car door is open they hop out and run inside, happy to see their human and dog friends. We feel lucky to have found a place where we know our pups are safe and cared for!

I was just thinking of taking my dog here until I saw the owner had tried to poison others dogs of competing businesses with antifreeze. That should tell you all you need to know. If you care about your dogs you won't take them here.

I would give a 0 star if I could. I don't suggest this place. They can not be trusted. I was told they would board my dog. I just needed to fill out the info on there site and send them vet records. I did all this. Was told I was good to go over the phone. When it came time to drop off my dog I was told they were all full and know can not watch my dog. Was going out of town and trusted this place to board my dog. Know all other places are booked as well.

I have been a customer of The Barking Lot for a long while and have never had a poor experience. When I first started coming, I boarded my lab-pit mix who had arthritis in both knees and was prone to yeast infections in his floppy ears. I was nervous because of poor experiences with long term boarding but I really wanted him to have the opportunity to play and interact with other dogs because I was going to be our of town for multiple weeks. Deenie and her staff were great with him. He was clean and happy/showing no signs of stress when we picked him up, so we began to bring him in intermittently for daycare and using them for boarding until his passing in 2018.When we got our new dog in 2019, we realized she was much more high energy than we could handle and once she was old/big enough, we became 5 day a week customers. Our Miss Maisie has HIGH anxiety and is very averse and shy of new situations and people but Maisie is always excited to go see the folks at The Barking Lot. She's on a lot of anxiety meds and Deenie and staff are great at ensuring she gets them when needed and provide great feedback when her behavior is out of the norm and solid advice in managing it. I sometimes feel like they're co-owners of her at this point because of how much I rely on them to manage her needs. They are always on the lookout if I bring up concerns about her behavior, as well and willing to troubleshoot with me.Being a high anxiety dog, Maisie is also very dramatic during routine things but is always very calm during her weekly baths and nail trims. Being a beagle, her floppy ears are very prone to infection and they do a GREAT job ensuring her ears stay dry in the summer months when Maisie takes it upon herself to dig at the water in their wading pool.Deenie and staff are also so very accommodating. I'm a bad pet mom sometimes and occasionally take afternoon naps where I end up oversleeping pick-up or make last minute extensions to travel or have surprise plans that necessitate an overnight board. Deenie has always made sure that Maisie is well taken care of if she has to unexpectedly board and she's also always been upfront with me about whether or not she is able to extend a stay or accommodate a surprise overnight, emphasizing to me when she's unable to so she's can fulfill her duties to her other pets.I really appreciate everyone who works here and how hard they work and how much they love their furry and feathered clients. If I could give more stars, I would.
