It's been a month since we made the claim for our kitchen/laundry room, the first estimator, gave me the run around and then told me I needed to get a contractor and to take alot of pictures, then the contractor said I'm supposed to get an insurance adjuster first, then the adjuster came to look at everything and he told me it was going to be 3-4 days and it's been a week, he doesn't answer my phone calls and when I leave a voicemail, he doesn't call me back. I'm really disappointed with State Farm, the lack of communication that I have experienced is ridiculous. I pay state farm on time every month, I've been a customer for over 10years. My kitchen is still in shambles, and I still have yet to receive a call or update on the status. I can't cook, I can't wash or dry my clothes because the leak was in the wall and it's in my laundry room as well. This is a huge inconvenience.

I was an Allstate customer for 25 years for home and auto. My rates went up a lot for home so I shopped State Farm and switched a few months ago.
My wife backed out of the driveway and hit the door of a parked vehicle a few weeks later.
It was a $2800 claim with no damage to our vehicle. Our first at fault claim in over 25 years. Full disclosure, my wife was hit by someone 3.5 years ago by someone who blew a stop sign. Police report provided full details of fault by the other driver.
One at fault claim for $2800. And one other no fault claim in 25 years. Also, a FICO score of about 800 for both of us.
After signing up with allstate and going through the the annoying but necessary process they immediately terminated our policy citing the accident within 59 days of the new policy. Local agent was very nice and apologetic stating he has had never seen anything like it. With me and on speaker phone he called underwriting to protest and they denied him. He repeatedly said he has never seen this.
I do not recommend State Farm under any circumstances. Shop a smaller company. I feel they’ve reached a point like many large organizations where strict policy outweighs common sense. They don’t give a crap about you. I understand all businesses need to make a profit. Just beware the leadership of some large companies like this one stop caring about their reputation anymore in the way they treat people.
I got a great deal with a smaller company who seems also to have great service. Don’t want to name them to corrupt this review.

I would rate them 0 stars if possible. The agents are awful and don’t actually help you. Customer care doesn’t actually care. Alichia Anderson has poor customer service as well as John buntrock and Sean Morton. They just want to scam you out of money and don’t have your best interest at all in mind.

I would rate them zero stars if I was allowed to do so. State Farm is the absolute worst homeowner insurance company I have ever experienced. I am a 57 year old and have owned multiple homes and have NEVER experienced such abject disregard for their own customers and the patently obvious claims (2) that were made. We had obvious and well documented hail damage from a storm THAT THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS GETTING NEW ROOFS FROM and State Farm denied the claim. Two well known and respectable roofing companies could not believe that State Farm operated his way and recommended our next step is the insurance commissioner and let me tell you this - you do not want unhappy customers going to the commissioner about your company. DO NOT GET COVERAGE FROM STATE FARM!!! RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!!

Very supportive of our Bloomington/Normal community. Particularly like what State Farm and its employees do for our local schools and students. We notice and appreciate you.

Like a Good Neighbor State Farm is There is false advertising. Good neighbors do not treat you the way State Farm treats its policy holders does a complete joke refusing to pay claims the Talk the Talk but don't walk the walk, they Jive but never Turkey! Everytime I see their commercial I laugh and turn down the volume as they would be better off not advertising look at their Review ratings they tell the truth,3.2,right on the money. State Farm is the worst company to deal with. I had my car parked in front of a friend's house in Morton,Illinois the road was slick and a car hit my parked car from behind and Wiley the state Farm agent for the drive went to arbitration on my claim 90% him 10% me because I was parked and their would not have been an accident if I was not parked. State Farm lost in Arbitration and I called Wiley and told him this is why insurance rates go up and I would tell everyone I knew how this was handled! This happened 36 years ago! Think about how many people heard what happened to me and look at their current reviews,Nothing Has Changed,Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!

I have been with state farm for over 20 years. Lately service and rates are terrible. My rate increased in Feb by 70 dollars. I increased my deductible and it decreased for 1 month then increased again.
I also needed a change made on my renters policy. I needed an apartment number added. I have been waiting for it for 3 weeks now. Will be changing companies.

I feel I need to warn people of State Farm if they are in my situation. I dont want to go into my lengthy two month battle story with this insurance company, but I will say that If you need loss assessment coverage for your HOA insurance do NOT, I REPEAT do NOT, go to State Farm! They will not help you when it really matters! Go to American Family or Westfield. Make sure the LANGUAGE in your coverage states it will cover you at all times, not time your coverage was purchased. My neighbors have Westfield, and they were cut a check for loss assessment that was claimed prior to them owning their property. I called American Family Insurance, and they also told me that my situation was something they would cover. Apparently, Statefarm is behind the curb with this. I will be finding different insurance 6+yrs, and I'm so ready to go somewhere else. There's nothing my local Statefarm agent can do. This is a big Statefarm problem. I trusted this coverage would be enough for me, and I'm so disappointed and let down.

I work at a bodyshop in Frisco, TX and we have received the poorest service ever from State Farm in regards to getting a response for a claim that has been submitted for over 21 days. I have called in several times and each time I received a different excuse for why we have not received the estimate. I asked to talk to a Manager to see what the issue was and I was passed off to Luis who has also provided inadequate assistance. All we are trying to do is help a claimant start repairs on his vehicle and we are getting nowhere. I wish that there was a was to actually speak to a real person that would be able to help instead of tell us what they cannot do. I always thought that State Farm was one of the better insurance companies, but they are proving to be a company that does not care.

I worked there on a consulting basis for 13 years. It appears that State Farm has now abandoned the buildings and consolidated employees into it's corporate headquarters a mile away. Parking lots are now all filled with Rivian vehicles. This location would make an excellent college campus with plenty of facilities for sleeping rooms, meeting rooms, classrooms and multiple cafeterias. It even has a quad.
