Pet Stores & Supplies
A B Hatchery & Garden Center
916 E Grove St, BloomingtonLocal nursery with friendly staff. Check out their dedicated houseplant room, dog treats, and bird feeders. If the weather is nice take a walk thru the greenhouse for a variety of annuals and perennials. They even have a section focused on Midwest native plants! Slightly more pricey than the big box stores, but worth the extra $ for quality and supporting local businesses.

Nord Animal Hospital
2104 Charolais Ln, BloomingtonDr. Nord is the only vet that I'll trust with any of my animals. He is someone who is extremely honest and puts the health and safety of your animals first so much so that he takes the time to teach you the "why" behind what he recommends.

Americana Animal Hospital
1405 Morrissey Dr, BloomingtonVery compassionate vet’s office. When our older cat got sick, they did all they could snd when it was time to say goodbye, they handled her with care and love. They even sent us a card signed by everyone for the loss of our cat with cards inside with ink stamps of her paws and face. It was a sad but caring experience.

Animal Emergency Clinic
118 Greenwood Ave, BloomingtonMy cat had not been eating or drinking for several days, and was throwing up bile for quite a while. The doctor and tech were very nice and explained everything they would be doing. They were also upfront and honest about cost, and suggested certain treatments and diagnostic testing they thought I could skip (only if I wanted) to help with the cost.
Since the clinic works like a human ER, critical patients are seen first, so I did end up waiting a little over two hours to see the doc since my lil guy was stable and they were fairly busy (Sunday afternoon). However, I was okay with that since it meant they were taking care animals who were more sick than my cat. So glad we have this clinic in the area, because I did not want to wait until Monday afternoon to take my cat in to his primary vet!

Pawsitive Transformations, LLC
705 Watford Dr, BloomingtonBob is a DREAM to work with! My husband and I were referred to Bob for separation anxiety training for our rescue pit bull Leia through our local dog trainer. We worked with him remotely (via zoom) and he gave us incredible support! The amount of care, attentiveness, and skill he brought to the work was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. The process of working with separation anxiety can be daunting and Bob helped us through the training aspect as well as the emotional impact of the experience. He helped us get our sweet dog from not being able to spend even a second alone without panicking - to handling ~40 mins of alone time!! He was understanding when our financial situation changed and had to take the training on ourselves, gave us TONS of support and resources to help us succeed as we move beyond our record. I would recommend Bob to everyone and anyone whose dog has separation anxiety as a knowledgeable, skilled, empathetic, and responsive resource. We plan to continue to consult with Bob on an as- needed basis as we move forward.Shout out to Susan for being an incredible scheduler and all-around great human as well! Thank you Pawsitive Transformations!

Epiphany Farms Restaurant
220 E Front St, BloomingtonThe nigiri sushi was average prep but top quality ingredients. The sushi roll was outstanding. Top quality ingredients and the flavor combination was balanced perfectly. The mega roll is a mega success. The steak was, again, top quality, but no real flavor aside from beef, nothing to counter point that perfect slab of flesh. The pretzel bun appetizer was truly tasty. Both cheese and mustard sauce are extraordinary. The service was above and beyond. I can't say enough about the hustle, competency and friendliness of the staff.
If you want best quality ingredients go here. There are some very flavourful items on the menu but others are very plain.
