Poor Customer Service Experience at Best Buy Bloomington, Illinois
I recently had a very disappointing experience at the Best Buy store in Bloomington, Illinois. I visited the store with the intention of purchasing a laptop but was met with extremely poor customer service from one of the sales associates.
Firstly, the associate provided incorrect information about the tax percentage on the bill and the specifications of the laptop I was interested in. This led to a lot of confusion and wasted time.
Moreover, when I attempted to ask for clarification, the sales associate was dismissive and rude. She stated that she was too busy to answer my questions and even suggested that if I didn’t want to buy the laptop, I should just leave it there, despite the fact that I had already paid the full amount. This was highly unprofessional and discouraging, especially since I have been a well-mannered and loyal customer at this location for the past 12 years, simply seeking assistance for this product.
This experience has left me very dissatisfied with Best Buy's customer service, and I am now reconsidering future purchases from this store. I hope that Best Buy will take this feedback seriously and provide better training for their staff to ensure that all customers receive the respect and assistance they deserve.

I work next door at AAA so i stop in Bestbuy 2 or 3 days a week. I usually just come in to get a few drinks, but sometimes i grab a video game or two. Service is always great there and the employees are always so nice. Best place in town to get a tv or laptop computer

Needed a phone case and screen protector. Plenty of staff chatting at the entrance, but zero help or assistance. Over 30 min to find items and check out. Plenty of staff just not helpful.

Buy at your own risk at this store. The manager has no interest in satisfying customers. I paid $180 this morning to access "Geek Squad" support, then spent 8 hours on the phone with them through 5 different sessions to fix the same problem. Each time they ended the session saying they fixed the problem, yet what they described in their closing email had nothing to do with my problem (and in fact they didn't do). Each time I had to call their 1-800 number back or wait to reach an online chat. I drove to the store to explain the situation to the manager in hopes that others would not face the same issue. Instead, the manager said my computers, and I quote, "should not be able to share files between themselves over the home LAN." Someone needs to alert Microsoft that they can't do what they describe how to do, and what happens in every LAN around the world.
Anyway, the manager could care less. So buy at your own risk. No one here is concerned about the customer experience.

The arrangement of the store is... interesting. Went in for a PC monitor and discovered components were scattered throughout - it took a while longer than I had planned to find what I was looking for.

I like this store. Good selection and good staff although hard to fine help occasionally. Associates should promote online checkout more.
