Horrible service and is not willing to work with you on any level! Plus they lost another possible sale because I was interested in the silver truck that was on the lot. Could have had two sold but not now

Alex & Bill were simply top notch. They were polite & professional from the 1st call to the final paperwork. They went above & beyond in helping us purchase a new used car. Great experience today, Alex was a great guy. He was upfront with us on the vehicles, didn't pressure us at all. We were able to work out a deal and they were fair with us on the trade also. Hopefully we won't need another vehicle anytime soon but if we do we will make this our 1st stop.

I had a really good experience with the process of actually purchasing the vehicle. I bought a 2007 Subaru Outback with 122k miles. I drove up from Champaign-Urbana to Bentley's and I took the car to a local mechanic after taking it for a test drive. The mechanic took it for a drive, lifted it up to check the underside and went over things under the hood with me. I felt good about going ahead and buying it. It was listed at $6860 and I offered $7500 cash. It was turned down and Dave told me that they don't negotiate price, as a policy. Going on to explain that they want people to be treated equally and offer a fair price for those who aren't comfortable haggling. Ok. Never came across that before, but fair enough if that's true. Had a nice time chatting and filling out paperwork. I paid for the car and left it there to pick up the next day when I would have a ride to get it back home. That's when the problem started. When I came to pick it up and asked for info on what services had been done to the car (specifically I wanted to know if I needed to do an oil change) but was also just curious where it was at as far as scheduled maintenance in general. So, I asked for a copy of the info of what work their mechanic did before it was offered for sale. I was told not to worry about an oil change, it's taken care of and there should be a sticker on the windshield. When I got home I sent an email letting him know there was no sticker and again requesting the mechanic info. He acted put off by the request, proclaimed he didn't know of any other dealership that does that (odd, because I haven't had a problem getting info like that from dealers when I've bought used cars before this one). He ends up texting me a list of repairs. There's no oil change listed. And there's a muffler repair noted (which was a straight up lie - I asked the mechanic THAT I TOOK IT TO about the rust on the muffler when he showed me the underside - and was told it was still in decent shape - THERE WAS NO MUFFLER REPLACED, period). Among other repairs listed, it noted brakes/pads/rotors being replaced (but yet the CARFAX said that those things had been done in 2020 with only 11,000 miles of wear by the time it was at Bentley's - so I have a hard time believing they would replace all the brakes/pads/rotors unless there was some crazy extreme driving going on, which doesn't seem very realistic?). When I questioned these things Dave tried to put me off on the mechanic to deal with, asking me to call Bill so he could explain and saying he had receipts for everything. Dave refused to address the muffler, brakes or oil change (except to say the windshield had been replaced - which according to him, must explain the missing oil change sticker? And yet the windshield wasn't listed as a repair on the sheet of repairs he texted to me). I did NOT call their mechanic, given the treatment I was getting from Dave, I no longer trust anything coming out of the mouths at Bentley's. When he asked if I had called Bill, I said NO and explained why. And I again requested if they have legit receipts, to send them to me. I don't expect that will happen.

From the start of Purchase I had a pleasant experience dealing with Alex, test drove the car I had been looking at, came to an agreement and was on the road in no time, fast forward to a month later after purchase the check engine light had come on and out of nowhere my car stopped running, wouldn’t even start.So at the beginning of April I made a Facebook post on Bloomington il sites asking for feedback / help in what others may have experienced and got a ton of feedback and help :) April 6th I received a text from Alex saying he had heard I was having issues with my car, and to call him to see if they could help.Bentleys towed my car from a parking lot in Bloomington and started diagnosing my car after a few days they diagnosed what the issue was and ordered parts, today April 21st I got my car back and was told the issue was fixed !!! Not only did they cover the tow they also covered the labor and I only had to pay the cost of the parts !!! I also was given a loaner car in the meantime as we have 3 kids and jobs to get too which helped so much !!! They didn’t have to do any of this but went above and beyond to help. Definitely recommend because of their honorable service and going beyond what they had to do

Got a nice used car for a decent price, was supported with good costumer service and was fairly quick to get everything done. I do recommend for first time buyers, or people that want a decent used car quickly.
