They have a lot of food, over the counter medicines and hard goods, almost like a mini walmart. I like their late hours too. The people at the checkout out counter are very helpful. They helped me learn to use the mperks app. They are like a mini walmart. They have very reasonable prices considering the inflation the nation is experiencing.

This store is an alternative to other large stores in the area, but faces many of the typical challenges and issues as other large stores. I can't recommend this store over any other large store in the area (except Walmart!) like I used to. For example, there is often 2 (maybe 3) checkout lanes open for the entire store. This essentially forces people to wait a long time in line, or check themselves out (which can also have a long line). The store offers special pricing for certain products which do not always properly ring up at the register. One may notice that you were not charged the sale price at all, but charged an increased amount or standard price. This can obviously add up if a lot of items were purchased with "special pricing." If one demands this to be resolved, that will make your shopping experience even longer than it already is. The deli can be super super slow, and their selection is really not worth the wait. Certain products may suddenly vanish from shelves, or stock is completely intermittent. Very hit or miss, and for many years. Now the store is clean, and they do have a wide array of departments to shop from. However, as big as the store is, it is hardly a one stop shop in my opinion. Not with the issues noted above, and especially not with the incorrect pricing at checkout. That's definitely numero uno, and I may decide not to shop here for a very long time because of it. I've found myself having to go to multiple stores these days anyway, whether due to better pricing, or stock availability. That's just the way it goes, I guess.

This grocery store is an excellent destination for anyone looking for a wide variety of products at affordable prices. Meijer is more than just a grocery store, it's a one-stop-shop for all your needs. From fresh produce to household items, this store has it all. What I really appreciate about Meijer is their commitment to maintaining their stocks. Every time I visit this store, I find all the products I need, and their shelves are always well-stocked. This is a testament to their diligent and efficient inventory management system. I also appreciate how they prioritize the availability of their cheapest items, making it easy for customers to save money without sacrificing quality. In addition to their great selection and affordable prices, the customer service at Meijer is exceptional. The staff is always friendly and willing to help, making for a pleasant shopping experience. The store is always clean and well-organized, which adds to the overall positive atmosphere.Overall, Meijer is an outstanding grocery store that truly cares about its customers. Their affordable prices, excellent selection, and exceptional customer service make this store a go-to destination for all your shopping needs. If you're looking for a reliable and affordable grocery store, Meijer is definitely worth a visit!

Be sure to review your receipts. They consistently post a. Sale price and then over charge at the register. When I go to customer service for an adjustment they never seem surprised and do nothing to change the price that comes up at the register. Shady

The pharmacy department at Meijer is trash. My 67 year old mother is having a major surgery this Thursday and has a prescription for oxycodone. Someone in the pharmacy department "misplaced" the prescription and blamed my mother for their screw up. Even going so far to tell her that she had a problem. My mother has never touched painkillers and is as straight as they get. My mother has to suffer because you hired opioid addicts? No thanks.I also need to add that once I posted this on my Facebook page people flooded my comments with horror stories they have had with prescriptions being stolen from this same pharmacy. Management has snubbed my mother completely and she has given these people a full week to correct their "mistake".

I really want to like Meijer, but they just are not on top of their game. The selection is decent, and you can find some good values if you look hard (but do not rely on their online info because it is an example of "how not to design your website"). One huge dislike is how they constantly rearrange the store--mostly produce--making it time consuming to find what you are looking for. The posted price is not reliable so you need to pay attention at checkout. Checkout often involves waiting in line so do not anticipate a quick shopping experience. The worst thing however is that you cannot rely on fresh produce, and when I pointed out rotting produce on display to the Store Manager he simply said in exasperation "we are doing the best we can".

I am only giving one star because they were open. I wish they were not. Shopping at Meijer is a huge mistake! They double charged me and then refused to refund my money. Not just one item , my whole order of $459. I gave them proof and they refused to give me my money back! Never shop there! I never will again!!!Meijer is a thief

This lousy store charged me for my 49.20 grocery bill 19 times. 19 times. They practically bankrupted me because of what they call a glitch. No one will help me. The money is on hold. I can't pay my bills. And all they have to say for themselves is "Oh well" I would advise people to NEVER go to this store or ANY MEIJER store. Can you even imagine. Can't pay my bills because of their glitch and they say there is nothing they can do even though there IS.

Store is very clean and easy to find items. I'm a senior and needed help at check out. A very friendly employee came up and immediately started helping me scan my groceries. I appreciate helpful, friendly store employees. I Wil be shoping here more often

My husband and I have a new home, finding new lighting is somewhat of a challenge. While looking for lamps, last straw. We came upon a really nice 1 at Meijer in Bloomindale. Unfortunately their were none on the shelves, only the 1 on display and because it was not a discontinued item it could not be sold according to Leap a shift manager, we understand. My husband works in Logistics, we get it. Leap asked us for our information and would follow up with us when they had one on their trucks, it was going to be a couple of days. That works. Unfortunately their was none on the truck. Leap texted with each truck that came in with no luck. After approximately 2 weeks of waiting the Elgin Store had one. Not sure if he picked it up himself or how he had it brought over. But we now have our lamp and we LOVE it!! This is the type of customer service that is few and far between nowadays. Leap went over and above for his customers and we are now officially new customers of Meijer's. I try not to be a Amazon shopper. I like the visual of getting my shopping done and seeing faces at the store. Thank you, Eva Amador

Well well. The management and security in this location needs to be replaced. They allowed 2 what need to be called animals into the store without masks driving around on the handicapped carts suspiciously going in each unopened register for who knows what....maybe 5 finger discounts and actually SMOKING in the store. Criminals and thieves should take notice that they dont care for customers or employees safety and security.

It feels like a flea market on the grocery side. Your guaranteed that several items on your list will be out of stock at this location "every time" you shop. Why so many cashier lanes at this store ? They never have sufficient check out employees so don't bother with appearances.
