I can understand if you have money just falling out of your pockets but to pay $3.07 a gallon on January 4th 2024 when just east of this site QuikTrip is selling fuel at 2.67 a gallon. They play this little game on Wednesday they raise up the prices then Monday or Sunday they lower the prices figuring you're going to get ripped off this way

I pumped gas 87 octane here a couple days ago when it was at 4.99, paid cash and never got a receipt. Drove home and with in the next couple days my engine started acting up, sputtering with acceleration and I had gotten lean fuel codes. Bad gas. Had to replace my fuel filter, still got the check engine code.Always ask for a receipt when pumping gas.

This Marathon is A-OK, but is usually a few cents pricier than the Shell across the street. I stop here when it's convenient, especially driving westbound on Army Trail or south on Glen Ellyn Road. The pumps are usually in working order. I've had to use their air hose a few times and didn't have to worry about having quarters like some places! I've only been inside a few times and they were friendly enough. They're obviously family-run, so, in my opinion, also a good reason to pay a few cents more than their competition.
