Very friendly staff at the teller space. The gentlemen that helped with opening our account was very nice too.They did make a mistake and have not fully closed my account, resulting in that account in negative balance due to fee imposed. I could tell the teller handling my account was new, although he was very nice. I do recommend the bank to do more training, and cross check on work.Luckily I did set up mobile notification, and found the account was in negative balance. I called back last week, lady H helped me reversed the fee, but couldn't close the account for me, and asked me to call back another day to close it. Which feels a bit awkward to me. I told them about the mistake, they should have addressed it fully for me instead of asking me to call back another day. Its very inconvenient and inconsiderate for a customer.When I called in another day, they said there's another $25 fee incurred and they are unable to waive. She asked me to pay the $25 in order to zero out the account and then close it.I said it's their mistake and I should not have to go through all this. She says she can't do anything because the manager is on vacation, I can either call customer service myself, or go to another branch. I've worked in banking for 20 years. This is a very irresponsible way to handle customer issues.I said it's the branch's mistake that this branch did not close the account for me correctly. This branch should address it's own mistakes instead of shoveling your customer to another location. If the branch itself is not willing to take ownership of its own mistake, I don't think other branches will. I asked for her name and have her follow up on this issue, if it needs to wait for another 10 days until the managers back, I'm OK to wait. I know some customer service lines are making it difficult for customers. I probably won't be able to get the help I need especially during this confusing time of TCF merge.Miraculously, I got a call back a few minutes later. She was able to call customer service to close the account for me.I appreciate her help. But this should not have been so difficult, it should have been addressed the first time I called in.My experience with this bank changes over time:Open account : excellentClose account : would have been excellent too if they have not made a mistake. But it's understandable for new employees.Fix Issue: subpar. I was ready to give a 1 star, I felt like I was given a hard time by the lady who answered the phone. Since they were able to address my issue, I raised it back to a 3 star score.

The door says "welcome to 24/7 atm's" and the doors are locked. Defeats the purpose of the sign if the atm isn't actually available past 5pm.

I was a coustomer for years with TCF and nothing but terrible experience with Huntington. They hand Holding my check with out any reason or a expected date they would release the funds. I deposited a large check. they told me it will clear after 5 days (expected). It clears and the money becomes available, I attempt to transfer some funds and they locked my account. They called the party that wrote the check to confirm. They got the confirmation and it's been over a month and they have not released the funds. Closing all my accounts and headed to Chase.

Promised to facilitate a smooth transition from TCF, however, I have been charged late fees for two ACH bills that they dropped the ball on after they assured customers there would be no problem. Ensuing gas and water company problems that I had to resolve. The branch at 2500 Schaumburg Rd. Jewell/Osco refused to cash a $10 rebate check which had two letters spelled wrong in my name although the address was correct. I read online many banks will cash these checks without a problem. I have been a customer at TCF since 1990. The service is slower, if that is possible, from when TCF was the owner. I tried for 30 minutes to find an email link like online banks have to share my concerns to no avail. I was charged monthly for photographing checks even if I don't write any checks. I have no confidence that they would go out of their way even a little bit to accommodate a customer. I am disappointed in the transition and, in the end, they will be losing a customer.

STAY AWAY!! My TCF account turned into Huntington. I have a business account. My online banking won't work anymore! I have waited up to 30mins on hold for customer support with no luck getting thru to anybody. Still don't have online banking....Don't bother banking with these incompetent people.

I have nothing but positive reviews and things to say about the customer service and staff at this particular location. I've been dealing with Luis and his staff here for several years and they've been nothing but professional, courteous, and helpful. I highly recommend this bank to everyone if you're looking for great service and customer care.

Everytime I go to the bank everyone is very friendly and helpful! I love that I walk in and get greeted right away! So happy I switched my bank to Huntington Bloomingdale!
