Great historic place. All of Bishop Hill has cool old buildings. Little stores and sites to see. Even has a play house for kids.

This association owns one half of Bishop Hill and the State of Illinois owns the other half. They have a museum in the steeple house which is the biggest building in town and they have been refurbishing several original brick building along the main street and turning them into little shops and art studios

We love Bishop Hill! We thought it was a great place to spend a day and then decided it is a great place to make a life. And it is the Bishop Hill Heritage Association that has done so much to preserve the town, celebrate the history, plan a great array of events. Bishop Hill is what it is in large part because of the Heritage Association.
