“This is, quite simply, the best USPS location ever. In this era, so many USPS locations, particularly in denser parts of major cities, range from incompetent to straight up illegal levels of service. My home locations in Ravenswood and Audobon (Manhattan) were both this way. The two main front desk guys here, however, have worked there forever and are both pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Even the 3-4 other people who sometimes man the front are excellent. have never had a bad experience with the Itasca Post Office. These guys should get raises :)”

He always suggest ways to ship for less and always has a smile on his face. I asked about holiday stamps and he went out of his way to find some for me. “This is truly the USPS I’ve ever been to. I had trouble getting my fingerprints but both ladies there had so much patience with me and really tried everything what they can do to help me out for literally an hour and a half. And I eventually was able to get record from FBI within the day, thanks to the two best employees in this location. I can’t say enough how thankful I am for their persistence and service-mindedness. I'm not sure why the post office doesn't hire more people like Tara. She was very helpful and assisted me with my shipment. “By far, this is the most helpful, friendly, and well organized post office I have ever lived near. They routinely go out of their way to help you mail a package (even when you don't have the right tape or box), choose the correct shipping class and even will run out to the truck to retrieve your mother in law's Easter package because Yours Truly forgot to put her room # on the address. It is a jewel of a post office and I hope it stays open for a long long time.”

I didn't think they would but Walgreens did!Great advice! “This was my first time here and yes it was very busy time and I was getting very frustrated that there was only one person working at the counter so I decided to use the self check out. With my luck my receipt printed but my postage did not. Back to the line I went, the kind gentleman let me back into where I was previously and the staff was very polite and helpful to address my concerns quickly. Despite tensions being high and grumpy patrons they were able to make everything correct within a short amount of time. Cindy, Kenneth & the African American lady with the braces and bangs (didn’t catch her name) where absolutely nothing short of superb.”

“Went to the post office on my lunch break to ship some packages for Christmas. Line was out the lobby door into the foyer, but the two workers kept the line moving and were so helpful. “I recently sent a package to a customer in Chicago. The package was mis-sent and ended up at the Norwood Park Post Office. I called the post office and spoke to E.J. He was very courteous and professional. He took down the tracking number and informed he would look for it, while I’m still waiting on the phone (I’m calling from San Diego). After a brief period of being on hold. He told me, he had the package in his hands!! E.J. informed me, this would be sent on its way. My customer received the package ? shortly thereafter after. “I didn’t know they stopped processing passport applications after 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:58pm and was told they stopped already. I stayed calm and asked politely if it was still possible to process my application anyways after explaining how dire my situation was and the young woman decided to process my application because she was still at her desk (a little sassy but, I was late after all)She then explained in detail how the process works and told me exactly how I’d receive all my documents in a professional and helpful manner. She was happy to repeat any part I didn’t understand as the process is quite odd as you send over your original birth certificate along with a check and leave with nothing after doing so which is a little unnerving.Alas, this all occurred on 9/27/23. It is now 10/30/23 and I just received my passport! (I paid extra to expedite my application)Thank you to that young woman for putting in the extra effort for me. It was seriously appreciated.”

“My package was there when they were shipped from overseas and it took a couple of days for it to move on but I don't blame them because from what I can tell on the reviews all the locals think positive of it and helpful, and the reason why the review is so low at 1.4 is because there's short-handed not enough staff in that small town.”
