I brought my 2008 Saturn Vue here for a transmission repair and told the owner of the shop(Robert Belli) that the car's check engine light would intermittently come on along with the car revving over 3000 RPM while driving less than 30 mph, as if it wasn't shifting gears properly. I informed the mechanic that I had taken the car to Autozone, ran a diagnostic and it gave a code P0752(Transmission Control Solonoid), and after topping off the coolant the check engine light went away for a couple of weeks but it had recently came back on and the car was dragging again. After their "inspection" I was told that the transmission was working fine, but I needed a new radiator to fix a leak in the coolant, a front passenger side wheel hub and a Tie Rod. I agreed to the other repairs thinking if a transmission specialist is saying the trans is ok I can trust their word, let me get some of the less pressing issues fixed. I was charged $1,285. I pick the car up and inless than 10 minutes, the check engine light came back on and the same transmission problem I initially told them about happened again. Literally less than 10 minutes! I take the car back to the shop and the guy hooks up his diagnostic and it gave him the same code the diagnostic at Autozone gave me, P0752. The guy looks at me and asks "This is the code you were telling me about, right"? Smh They inspect further and tell me the whole transmission needs to be replaced ? I was quoted $2,250. I was charged $2,415 after tax. I would've been ok with that if the shop hadn't done $1,250 in repairs that could've waited and let me ride off with the same issue I brought the damn car in for. All they had to do was listen to what I described and check the car more thoroughly. Now I'm out of over $3,500 and I feel this shop isn't trustworthy. We'll see if the work they've done actually holds up, but I have no faith in it. I have a bitter taste in my mouth about my experience and hope I never need to return here. I feel like a true "transmission specialist" would've took heed to the description of the issue from their customer and would've done their due diligence to accurately identify the problem. There's absolutely no way they checked the transmission properly if the exact same problem popped up less than 10 minutes after I left the shop. The only reason I'm not giving a 1 star rating is because the people seemed nice, but there's a lot of nice people out here who aren't so great at what they supposedly specialize in ??♂️ Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

My friend and I had her vehicle towed to Metro transmission because it was a shop closet to where her vehicle had stopped on her in O'Hare air Port parking lot..September 7th.Bob gave us a price of 125 dollars . Then the man who towed the vehicle gave us a price of 106 dollars. This was the 1st incident..He checked the vehicle and gave a pricing of everything needed to be done which was an radiator hose assembly. He stated everything would cost in total 496 included the tow price. I asked was that the best he could do and he replied yes..so we agreed and left..okay...We left the vehicle to be fix which we were told would be ready on Sept. 8th the following day but didn't get a call to almost closing time he stated the vehicle was fixed but he was waiting for the hose to clear air pockets and would call when completed. We didn't get the vehicle until the 9th...In addition Bob called and stated he had added 2 thermostats and the price was now over 600 dollars other than the price stated beforehand. I asked how come he didn't call to update the status on the vehicle and the new price...I told him we had a set agreed price..I told him I didn't have that kind of money which we discussed. I already was using my credit card which i really couldn't afford to do but because she needed her vehicle fixed I was willing to use my card.. He said that's not his problem..that i could either pay it or leave it there and he would charge storage fees..he said he didn't charge the labor fee for the thermostats which in fact he tried but when I made mention thT he said he wouldn't.. he got upset and called us "you people" and i said well there it is....he then said he'll take it off as if he was doing us a favor now that we were called "you people" I said you mentioned you didn't charge it but you did in fact you charged it...to end the talking and all t he back n forth. I gave him my credit cards which I had to put half on separate cards and to top it off the machine charges a service charge fee of 8.88 a card. And I was overcharged in labor fees. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This place is a rip off..the gentleman that fixed the vehicle came to try an explain and apologize on Bob behalf..but I'm totally disappointed

Metro Automotive and Transmission did a wonderful job on my clutch replacement for my Subaru. As expected the vehicle was ready when stated. The vehicle ran amazing after. Price was a little steep
