The Boone County Fairgrounds hosts the largest county fair in Illinois, a top family event with six days of champion livestock, exhibits, vendors, free shows, music, and thrilling rides. It also holds other events like the Fall Diddley, a ginormous craft venue with tents and food. Parking is awesome. Reviews note plenty of porta-potties, wonderful people, and delicious fair food, including ethnic options. Some visitors report filthy porta-potties or disappointment with entry fees for certain events. The grounds are prepared with straw for mud. Many enjoy chatting with animal owners and find the medical personnel helpful. Overall, there is so much to see and do for a great time.
Boone county fair is one of the biggest in the state. Always plenty to do.

Lots of draft horses, bunnies and livestock. Plenty of porta-potties. Enjoyed ethnic food and chatting with animal owners. We are also grateful for the assistance of the medical personnel who helped us after a nasty fall. Hope to visit again next year!
