Wonderful experience with Karen. Then, your staff, taking care of repairs, so we can hear our babies, was honest. While, my clock was being serviced, I missed its sound for many reasons. The clock was a gift from my parents. Thank you and know your establishment is a blessing!

I took my mantel clock in for normal maintenance. They told me that the clock was in great shape. I got it back and would not keep time. Tried to adjust, no luck. I called them and they said bring it back, no charge. After I took it back they said that I needed a new movement. (Over $500). I would of thought that they would of new that when I had it in for maintenance. One of the things included in the maintenance is setting the time, which they didn't do. I believe they messed it up when they did the maintenance and they wanted me to pay for it. They had the clock for 4 months trying to set the time. I got it back and still doesn't keep time. Word of advice, DON'T GO THERE. I know I won't go back

My first experience with Kiels was to get new insides for my grandfather clock. It was done with care and expertly installed. Decided to bring in my cuckoo clocks that I had to get cleaned and oiled. One was so bad that it had to be sent out to get fixed but made it bad in better shape then before and the second got a good cleaning and oiling and works like a charm.I would highly recommend them for any repairs that may need to get done.

I inherited a Howard Miller grandfather clock. Hadn't ran for 8yrs. They restored it in my home, very reasonable price, plus restored an 1900 yr Regulator clock, complete repairs and stained it the color I wantedEasy parking downtown Belleville illinois.

In May 2023 I brought my mantle clock in for cleaning and adjustment. When I picked it up in June I was told there was as a 3% surcharge to pay with a credit OR debit card. This wasnt disclosed either on the repair order or verbally when I dropped off the clock. Merchant fees are a part of doing business, and are good for the business because the payment is guaranteed (no returned checks). Theyre being disingenuous when claiming they cant afford a 3% merchant fee when theyre charging very high fees for their services.

Terrible experience. Took my late father in law's clock to get repaired. It worked for a couple weeks, then broke again. Took back for repair a second time and stopped working again. Will not return. Very disappointed.

Had my grandfather clock serviced after moving. The technician came out and serviced it, and advised me that I needed to pick up more chain from the office. Busy with my move, I failed to wind my last weight, and realized the chain wasn’t in plain view. I called the shop and Dave asked me to send a pic, but he couldn’t see where the chain was either, and said I needed a service call. I asked Dave if he could cut me a break, at least reduce the service call amount. He said no! This was clearly my mistake, and I learned from this experience. In the end, I spent $250 in a week, and the clock is working fine. I realized later that I should’ve asked the technician to use my excess chain, since I already had what I needed, and that’s what happened in the end anyway. Advise to others, pay attention and save yourself some money, because Dave will not cut you any slack!
