“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Smart Choice Suits, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience. I needed a gold-colored dress shirt for a wedding I was invited to last minute and decided to call ahead. Shanks answered the phone and assured me they had plenty in stock.
Upon arriving, I was warmly welcomed by everyone at the store. The customer service was exceptional. Shanks had my dress shirt ready, complete with a matching tie. I also realized I might need socks, and Shanks picked out the perfect pair. The socks were so good that I decided to get some shoes as well, as the ones he suggested looked fantastic with my outfit.
After I paid for everything, I had some time before my Uber arrived. Shanks gave me a tour of the store, and we had a great conversation about different styles and fashion trends. It was an AWESOME experience!
This was 11/10 customer service, and I highly recommend visiting Smart Choice Suits.

“I bought a nice tailored suit 3 weeks before for a weeding. The result of the alteration we’re perfectly done. Fast forward 3 weeks lost some weight I tried on the suit, didn’t like how it fit so I went back to see if they can alter it again hoping they can do this before the wedding, which is in two days. Dropped it off in the morning picked it up same day in the afternoon again perfect results no charge, excellent customer service.”

They were friendly, helpful, and knew the merchandise very well, including which items were newer designs.My partner tends to dislike button downs due to the way they fit him, and we figured he'd find something he could tolerate. They helped us find a shirt he genuinely likes and that can be dressed up or down.We were both really impressed with the customer service and are planning to go back in the future”

“I was there couple of months ago to buy a vetra jacket that was on sale. Since I bought from this place before I send them an email to ask if they could put it on hold for me because I wasn’t in Chicago yet but no answer came. I send a second email, still no answer. When I finally made it to Chicago and came to the shop I said very kindly that I send emails and would’ve liked at least an answer instead of being ignored especially since I’m a returning customer. The person that was there was super defensive and snippy. Instead of apologizing he just started constantly snipping at me. I thought to myself fine I just drop it cuz I didn’t wanna get into a discussion but this guy just from now on wouldn’t stop being snippy and rude to me even while I paid the jacket I bought. Very frustrating experience!Edit: when the guys from independence heard of my experience they came forward and were very nice and accommodating. Therefore I changed my rating.”

This place is the hidden-gem of mens fashion, it is pricy but when have you ever not paid the price for something worth having? The two gentleman that helped me were not invasive or aggresive, they just let me shop and mind my business while checking-in to see if I needed any help. I dress plain but I like nice things, so happy I was able to get a dover sweatshirt and can't wait to wear it out.”
