We started using Limestone Animal Hospital in 2012, for our last 3 Rottweilers. We had to euthanize two of them. The doctors and staff have been amazing with healthy visits, surgeries and the euthanizing. They are patient when I have questions and loving when dealing with our fur baby. They are very compassionate and clearly love what they do. I highly recommend Limestone Animal Hospital.

The very best around! Even if you don't live in Bartonville, you should consider bringing your pets here! Not only are they reasonably priced, they are kind and attentive and they truly care about your fur babies. My step sister is a Vet somewhere else locally, and this is still the only place I will take my pets!

I thought my dog was dead from pit bulls attacking him on Moss Avenue in Peoria. Some Good Samaritan drove me to the Limestone Companion Animal Hospital with my dog in my arms and on the way I called and alerted them to the dilemma. We were greeted with concern and Dr. Pat thought my dog was dead too. He immediately listened to my dog's heart and it was beating but O2 and an IV helped bring him back to life. After hours of treatment I took my dog home and he was back to being himself in days even though all bitten up and timid around pit bulls. Follow up visits were necessary since he was attacked by 5 pit bulls and they all had a piece of him. I don't even think of going to another Vet.

Found a new clinic for my animals. They got my dog in quickly and their services didn't cost an arm and a leg. I was very impressed with the whole experience

We just got home from surgery with our dog, who tore her CCL (ACL). The Drs. and staff do their best to help us care for our animals, and they are so kind and caring. We love Limestone and would highly recommend to others!

I don't normally leave reviews, but since my cat received very negligent, dishonest care here, it's necessary. My cat saw Dr Shari Siragusa for a dental cleaning in June. He had seen two other vets in the previous year due to tooth pain and no longer eating dry food and gradually eating less canned food as well. He always likes dry food so him not eating it tells me something was wrong. The other two vets he saw previously also failed him. Dr. Siragusa did a dental and removed seven teeth. When I picked him up from the vet he was bloody, and his mouth bled that night. I was then told he would be given no pain medication because he was taking a steroid. Why wasn't I instructed to stop the steroid for the required time BEFORE the dental when we had seen Dr Siragusa a couple weeks earlier? Apparently they weren't concerned about pain for my cat. I had been instructed to feed only wet food for at least a month afterwards. I did so for two months and then tried dry food but he seemed to have trouble with it. In October he still wasn't eating dry food and seemed to feel really bad. We returned to Dr Siragusa and I told her I thought his teeth were still hurting. She said it had only been three months and usually dentals are once a year. She said it was his cystitis causing the lack of appetite (it is true he has cystitis and a different vet had told me mixing the urinary food with regular was sufficient). He was taking prednisolone from a former vet and Dr Siragusa instructed me on how to give a higher dose and taper down to the normal daily dose when it seemed like he was feeling poorly. I took him home, made the dietary corrections, but he still seemed worse and worse. He was lethargic, looked like he was in pain, not eating dry food etc. in December I was going to take him for another dental with Dr Siragusa but didn't (luckily for my cat!) because I wasn't able to speak to the vet before hand and I was ill. Then in January I had an urgent need for another cat to see the vet without an appointment and Limestone couldn't fit him in so I went elsewhere. I ended up switching to the new vet we saw after Limestone wouldn't fit us in. When I took the cat that had the dental issues to the new vet, the new vet said he was in a GREAT deal of pain in his mouth and to stop the steroid so they would be able to give him pain medicine after the dental cleaning. When they did a cleaning, I was informed that Dr Siragusa had left ALL the roots from the seven extracted teeth in his jaw!!! That's why he was so miserable. The new vet informed me this caused him excruciating pain. This makes me so upset! Dr Siragusa knew she had left the roots in and hadn't bothered to X-ray to check and as a result my cat suffered for months! I brought him back to Dr Siragusa 3 months later after her negligent dental and said I thought his teeth were hurting and she blamed the cystitis (which yes could've been contributing but she had to know it was due to the incompetent dental cleaning he received from her) .He could've died and it wasn't due to me not taking him to vets! The new vet did the dental correctly, removed the roots that Dr Siragusa left in, and my cat is well now. He plays and eats and is able to groom himself. He also eats dry food again with no problem and doesn't need any medications. I'm disgusted I wasted my money and unknowingly risked my cats' life and health going here. The dental I got here caused him greater pain and when the vet was told three months later he was in pain even though she knew she had been negligent in the dental she blamed a different problem rather than focus on the health of the cat. His health and his life and wellbeing was not important to them. It was more important to not admit mistakes were made and my money was wasted, worst of all Dr Siragusa didn't care about the health of my pet!
