The staff is great here. Their policies make sense and we felt taken care of. Will be going back for follow up visits for our pup.

This place is by far the Best Vet I've ever gone to and I'm in rescue so that's saying a Lot! The vets and all the staff are so caring and attentive. The care is holistic and comprehensive. The office atmosphere is calm and relaxed. I cannot recommend enough! The pics show my 18 year old Super Senior, Izzie, getting her weekly acupuncture, chiropractic, and cold laser therapy. This along with medication and herbs, help manage her arthritis pain and chronic kidney disease. We are very fortunate to have them so close by.Prices are slightly higher than the high traffic vets around, but the care and service we receive is more than worth it. I wish more vets were like The Whole Pet and offered the holistic services and care.

Dr Tardoff is the best vet in Illinois. She is smart thorough and caring. I would highly recommend The Whole Pet

I honestly thought this was a pet food store as I passed by almost daily. This veterinarian practice uses a combination of eastern and western medicine to improve and maintain pet health. My regular vet referred me to them after my 7 year old rescue Lab/Coonhound was diagnosed with a malignant mast cell tumor. It was excised by my regular vet but she couldn't get clear margins due to location. It was either this approach or a veterinary oncologist. It was a five week wait for an appointment and you had to secure the date with a credit card deposit that was later applied to the bill as credit. TWP makes you feel calm & welcome from the start. I am familiar with eastern medicine so I didn't have a lot of questions but they answered all I did have completely. Dr. Tartof was professional, attentive, thorough and kind as well as was the vet tech. We came home with lots to read and look up as well as with supplements, a salve and a suggested new diet. The facility is clean, bright and cheerful with plenty of free parking in the lot. I hope this approach will allow our beloved dog to have much more quality time to enjoy life with us. If you are considering a new approach to your pet's healthcare I would highly recommend scheduling a consultation here.

Took my dog here for the first time and had a great experience. After having a rough time with allergies and a horrible experience at our previous vet, the staff here gave us a thorough treatment plan and options. The staff was so helpful and kind to our dog. Definitely would recommend this place!

Very pleased with all of our experiences here. My dog started visiting in winter of 2021, so roughly a year. He had tweaked his back, was walking with a slight limp and was no longer taking stairs. A different vet quickly recommend spinal surgery, but we wanted a second opinion.Dr. Tartof started him on a regimen of acupuncture and chiropractic work. Later we added some exercises at home and supplements. He's a changed dog.Even the groomers have commented on how much better he moves. You'd never know there was an injury and his puppy energy is back. Best of all, Dr. Tartof's recommendations have gradually reduced, reflecting the healing that's happened. We're not on an endless cycle of visits, only what's appropriate. The team is polite and friendly, we feel welcome and have received excellent care.

I found Whole Pet not long ago, as my dog was already a senior & had several health issues. Very happy with Dr Tartoff and the entire staff. Always kind, compassionate, and helpful.

I have been taking my 4 animals here for years. I drive (happily) from Plainfield because of the quality of care I believe my animals to receive. I had the absolute most unacceptable experience recently and I am floored by the way I was treated. When I called to make my dogs appointment, covid policies were not stated; I proceeded to drive there with my dog and under 2 yr old son. When I got there, the receptionist said I couldn't bring my son in. She stated that it said so in a text message. She was very nice, asked her office manager if it would be ok; the office manager, Sheila, said absolutely not. My infant has to stay in the car. Are you serious? I can take my child anywhere, stores, restaurants, airplane, my OWN doctors appointments; but he isn't allowed to sit on my lap at the vets. Nor would they let me in to use the restroom. I called to speak with Sheila; she could not have been anymore rude, never apologized,no remorse. Just stayed our policy our policy. If you have a policy, tell the person when they call to make the appointment. Be a kind human being and speak to someone. Don't say, well, we text it to you. You didn't tell me when I called. Awful. I will never go back, which she didn't care. The worse customer service ever and this facility is supposed to be next level for quality of care and compassion.

They used to be very good. The last couple of years they have declined. The last time I waited almost an hour and was told the doctor still didn't how much longer it would be

They were able to treat my dog's nail issue on the same day with just a little time before closing, thank you. Friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended.

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with The Whole Pet. They are extremely helpful and polite on the phone, Renee and Sheila especially. Dr. Suter is great and explains everything that she's doing and also explaining why she's doing it. I always feel informed on all of our visits. She has helped my 9 year old pitbull start to turn around thanks to their natural and alternative look at things. The Whole Pet really cares for the animal, from the nose to the tail. Not one part goes unchecked or unloved. I highly recommend trusting your fur baby with them!

We have been going here for years, taking all 4 of our animals. The last few interactions have been extremely poor with the last being completely unacceptable. My wife was turned away with our one year old son with the office manager saying their policy was sent through text. My wife made the appointment and was never physically told the policy. We drive almost an hour there and her making my son sit in his car seat for 3 hours was not an option. We also could not send our 14 yr old dog in alone as we were afraid with his increased anxiety of setting him into a panic attack. Unfortunately, with all of the money, time, and energy we have put into this place, it was basically told to us that they did not care if we ever return. Careless and insensitive management of the office.
