Rudest staff I've ever encountered. The small lady always at the cashier just gave up and called her manager a girl with classes who cared even less during my issue, cashier refused to look at me or even respond to my inquires. I saw two other reviews about discriminatory and lazy workers and I can attest to this. Just because your business is in a nice town doesn't give you the right to act stuck up to outsiders.

DISCRIMINATORY Treatment and RACIAL PROFILING at Walgreens - Barrington, IL As a loyal customer of Walgreens, I am deeply disappointed by the discriminatory treatment I recently experienced at the Barrington, Illinois location. I visited the Barrington Walgreens to exchange a purchase, and to my shock, I was racially profiled and refused the exchange despite providing clear proof of purchase. What's more troubling is that I have successfully conducted the same exchange at three other Walgreens locations in less affluent areas without any issue. The blatant discrimination I faced at the Barrington store is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the entire company. This incident left me feeling humiliated and discriminated against. It's disheartening to realize that even in this day and age, racial profiling continues to be a problem in retail environments. As a customer who has consistently supported Walgreens, I expected better treatment and respect. I urge Walgreens management to take immediate action to address this issue of racial profiling and discrimination within their stores located in even the snobbiest of towns. Proper training must be provided to all staff members to ensure that every customer is treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of their race or ethnicity. I also expect accountability from the management team at the Barrington location for their failure to uphold the values of equality and inclusivity. Either you can do this at all the Walgreens or none... this is NO COINCIDENCE! I hope that by sharing my experience, Walgreens will take proactive steps to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Discrimination has no place in any establishment, and it's crucial for companies like Walgreens to uphold the highest standards of customer service and inclusivity. My grandparents had to deal with this in the 1950's why am I being made to jump through the same hoops of fire? Simply because of your area code? Not acceptable. CVS would never! But hey maybe that's just the price I have to pay for being in Scarrington.

Totally inept- I have never seen worse customer service in my 67 years of life..I was recently asked what day of the week it was from one of the Pharmacy techs. Hope they clean up their Act.. Just Plain Awful ....

Staff are overworked, unhelpful and have lied on many occasions saying they will follow up but then they dontWalgreens as an entity has poor operations, bad technology and frequently require a week of time to complete a refillWalgreens corporate needs to invest in technology, reengineer their operations and orient their staff to providing healthcare rather than staffing their stores with overworked, bitter retail agents

I had to refill my prescription, and I had already called a different pharmacy who was out of stock. This meant I had to call my doctor to send the script to this pharmacy, which is already stressful because they make you wait till you're very low, so I'm already out of pills and desperate because this is ADHD medication, so I can't work or make plans to do anything without it. They also didn't have the generic in stock, which made me upset, although I'm not sure how much control they have over that. The technician I was on the phone with was very rude. He seemed to have little knowledge of what I needed and how important it was, so when he said name brand would be coming today, I said that was fine because I just wanted the stress to be over and to have my medication, but he gave me a rude comment about how much the name brand costs. I know how much the name brand costs, but I need this medicine to have decent quality of life. So if the stocking issue can be helped in anyway, I would appreciate that, but if not, I would at the very least like the technician I'm on the phone with to be polite, not give me attitude about the cost, and be a little more tactful about how stressful the situation already is for the customer.

I’d argue that they are TOO FRIENDLY here. It’s 9pm on a weeknight and chatty Cathy cashier is holding up the line. She was is everyone’s business based on what you were buying. Let me pay and leave!!

Called me today to pick up my prescription, arrived and the pharmacy had a hand written sign that says “temporarily closed” AVOID. take your business elsewhere.

Went to pick up a prescription in person at this Walgreens. Although the pharmacist was very nice, the pharmacy was totally disorganized and unprofessional. My five year old granddaughter noticed that the floors were filthy. We don’t usually used this Walgreens and now I know why. I would recommend the local CVS over this store.

Lately it seems that I have to wait 15-30 minutes to get a prescription, even if I am the only one waiting. Very difficult to call, you can wait 45 minutes to get anyone to answer. Some pharmacy staff are also quite rude. I used to have a good experience with this location but not over the past year or so.

Pharmacy worthless.After 2 years of them filling my daughter scrip today same scrip sane Dr they said since it coming from a immediate care center they can't fulfil it.I will never shop at another Walgreen and I used to work at their HQ.I can see why they have 38 poor reviews

Absolutely the worst pharmacy. I waited on the phone, no one answered. I waited for more than an hour in person for the pharmacist to tell me the urgent prescription I needed for my 2 yr who is severely sick ( we just came from the ER) wouldn’t be filled soon and he didn’t know when it would be, after telling me it would only take a few minutes. They gave me an estimated time of 1.5hrs and then closed before they could fill it. Before they told me when my prescription would be filled, I waited in line for 40 mins, with only 4 people total in line - the line didn’t move for 40 mins because no one was at the counter. There was only one person who was giving vaccines and instead of getting through the line of 4 people and tending to the vaccines afterwards He helped one person and then would disappear. And people waiting in the drive through came inside raging about how things were being handled.I don’t blame the people that work there. It’s management at this Walgreens that doesn’t know how to manage or set up proper efficiency processes. The employees at the pharmacy were absolutely nice and tried to help as quickly as they could but it wasn’t their fault for how things were being managed.
