I bought a used car from them and tried to get a manager to help me with many issues I have gone through but no response. I feel they don't care or want to help. So stay away if you are looking for good customer service

Tommy and Aaron were both very welcoming to the Honda dealership. They were very respectful and gave me all the information upfront. I felt very comfortable during the process of purchasing the car and could not have gotten any better service from them. While discussing pricing i did not feel any sort of pressure and could make a clear headed decision. Everything about the experience i had gotten from them was OUTSTANDING! Hospitality and information were present while speaking to both Tommy and Aaron. Furthermore I will definitely come back again in the future for my next Honda vehicle.

New Ownership is readily apparent. Many changes that have negatively impacted/diminished quality of service, not the least of which is a new 3% service charge for credit card usage.

I just had outstanding service at Motor Werks Honda of Barrington. It all started with my service writer, Adam Weller who made arrangements to pickup my Honda Odyssey at my home to have some work done. He was polite and very attentive. He promised a time for pickup and gave an honest estimate of time it would take for all service to be completed and returned to my home. He was spot-on with his estimates. Exceptional service. Second, the service technician, Kyle Musslewhite, did a fantastic job with the two items I needed to be fixed. The communication between the service writer and the technician made everything come together, quality workmanship and excellent communication. If you are ever in need of Honda service, please keep Adam Weller and Kyle Musslewhite in mind. You will not be disappointed and will be very pleased with the communication and workmanship.

New management is awful. Terrible communication re my service from the time I scheduled to pickup... there was an issue with the service they had me wait 1.5 hour (when I was supposed to be at work) for the GM who listened to my complaint and then told me I'm free to go... I didn't take responsibility, but it didn't charge me.... I will not be returning.

My service Advisor Damla took great care of me. She kept me informed every couple of days on the repairs of my car since it was going to be a while. My car needed a motor and when it was completed it was done right the first time. I will always use Motorwerks Honda and I will always see Damla for my service needs. Ty

For the first time ever , I was LIED to and treated with DISHONESTY at Motorwerks. On Monday 08/14/23 I spoke w Honda service advisor as I knew the 100k service is expensive and wanted to know the cost . He told me 833.57. At no time did he tell me there would be a 3% service charge for paying by credit card. I made an appt for Wednesday 08/16/23. When I dropped the car off he did not tell me they would be charging more than 833.57 and again no mention of a 3% service charge for paying by credit card. My first clue should have been only one other car in the service area at 7am when I arrived. One usually has to wait as its always been very busy first thing in the morning. After and only after the work had been performed was I told about a 3% service charge for credits cards and to my shock a higher price than what was quoted on Monday. Most people don't have 800.00+ dollars laying around . Had I been told this upfront , I would have waited til I had the cash. So basically my choices were to wait 4 weeks for the cash and have no car or pay their 3% fee . It was having my car held hostage. In the end my bill was 885.54 after a quote of 833.57 . A 51.97 difference ! It is slippery slope when dealerships lie to a customer. What else have they lied to me about ? Did they really do the services they billed me for ? Did they do them correctly ?I DO NOT TRUST THEM anymore. I've been coming here for over 20years and was never lied to or cheated before today. A web search after picking up my car explained everything. They are UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP.I WILL NEVER BRING MY CAR HERE AGAIN.

Had the pleasure of working with Jason Glasby and can’t thank him enough. My experience at MW has been nothing but professional from purchasing my Model Y to getting a few door dings and curb rash fixed. (Glad I opted in for the coverage offered by MW shout out Ryan Proffit for the rec.) Jason handled my claim swiftly and promptly and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Appreciate the free shuttle service they offer via Lyft it really made it easy to plan around my work schedule. Hoping I don’t have to go back soon that means I got more door dings but good to know for the next 5 years of coverage they’ll be repaired with ease.Service: Body & Trim

Took Accord in due to noise from Engine and possible oil leak. Received an $11.5 thousand quote for other things instead of actual issues. Ripoff for some items I fixed myself. Windshield wipers $127 replaced in 10 minutes for $30. Rear center break bulb $75 replaced in 5 minutes for $5. 4 broken air box cover screws $600 removed with vice grips 20 minutes replaced for $4. Rear Breaks and calipers $1400, replace myself in 3 hours $200. Found this wasn’t a Union shop either so how they come up with these outrageous prices is a mystery. In the end, they couldn’t diagnose what I originally bought the car in for. If your car isn’t Under Warranty stay away.

I have no experience with car maintenance. I'm a Software Engineer. So this review is not from someone who works on cars, thus not some employee or family member working at Motor Werks.Lets get started. New management always f's things up. I guess this is the American way. Take over something then piss off your employees and customers. F up the culture and products / servicing offers. America the greedy. One or two higher-ups being aholes, going back to live in their luxury estate sippin the good life while everyone else gets it up the ass. They have increased the cost of maintaining a ton. Just to check something out it used to be around $140 now it's $230. I needed 2 things checked out (a rattle noise and my window which is not going up and down smoothly..not particularly rocket science here) so almost $500! wtf! F off, no thanks...I said no.These are the kinds of tactics that make long time customers to a brand leave. This kind of crap pulled not only makes me leave Motor Werks for good but also makes me want to leave Honda period. I did that with Toyota, left them 20 years ago after buying several Toyotas once they started pulling shady tactics like this.Let me ask you are you increasing your employee's wages after doing this too? I bet you're not you greedy bastards. I guarantee this is also fing up your culture there. People who have been there forever. You're ruining lives by coming in and pulling this sh**. Nobody said there can't ever be price increases but are you kidding, this is robbery. What happens next is your best employees leave because the culture turns to garbage. And then that's when the fun begins for you. Losing your best employees due to turnover and toxicity, lack of sustainable pace, and low pay. I know exactly how new management rolls when things change for the worse, and its effect...happens in my own profession as well. I've also noticed that your turnover int he past year has skyrocketed. I go here enough to know who has been here long and who has not and many have left you.For those of you finding this going on with any of their pricing at Moto Werks, please post your review and set these people straight. They don't even deserve 2 stars nowWelcome new owners to your new reality. More like us will be leaving you. Better hope that the rich guys will pay enough to keep you around and operating (Mercedes, BMW maintenance), I could care less now, used to love this place.I have been going here since 2006. But now I'm done. Luckily I've found a local guy who is stellar and even more thorough and much cheaper than Honda / Moto Werks.Adios Moto"Weaks". And a big FU to the new MotorWerks owners as well as to the Honda dealership. That nice new car wash building isn't going to do you any good when the number of cards dwindles over the next few years coming into your shops. On top of that they are now charging a 3% fee on your bill claiming it's for credit card. Wtf? Bunch of BS.And on top of that guess what. Their fleet of 50 Honda Loaners are now down to 5 total so pretty much good luck getting a loaner these days if you have an overnight maintenance job happeningI'll be picking my car up today for the last time.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this shady dealership. We purchased a vehicle under the contingency they would fix the problem the vehicle had and are not staying true to their word. Worst customer service we’re ever dealt with and slimy, shade salesmen and managers. Spend your money elsewhere.
