I own a Volvo XC90. I did not buy it at this place. But I have been going over here every year for my yearly maintenance. A couple of days back the "L" came off from the tailgate and it now reads "VO VO". Today I took my Volvo to this place for 70K maintenance. I gave them the "L" and asked them if they can just glue it. Since I considered myself as a regular, I thought they would just do it. I could have done it myself but I decided to ask them. If I see a Luxury car on the road witha letter missing, I will think of it as a cheap work. So thinking that this is an image issue for them, they might just do it. Instead I got presented by a $285 estimate. I could not help but just laugh it off. Atleast this puts an end to my going to them for my yearly maintenance. I will try the same next year with another dealer equi-distant to me. Let us see what happens.

This is my second Volvo from McGrath Volvo Cars Barrington and I choose it over the Volvo dealership closer to me. Franz has always been a knowledgeable and service-oriented partner in searching for the right vehicle. We were very pleased with our experience with the staff, in particular, Zachary and Din at McGrath Volvo Cars Barrington.
Zachary (sales rep) was very patient and informative and professional while we went on a test drive and explained everything in detail. We didn’t feel pressured to make the decision right away. Din (financial manager) was also very informative and honest with helping us make the best decision for us.
Would highly recommend both in this dealership! Super nice staff, thank you all!

Wouldn't have gone to this place if it weren't for a recall my volvo had for the air bag but I'm glad I chose this dealer. The service department was great. The staff was very friendly and even made me wish I could afford a new car.

All I have to say is that my experience at the McGrath Volvo in Barrington was quite a surprise on how they treat their customers. My husband and I went in looking for a used car on a Friday evening and Francisco the salesperson was very kind and professional. We drove an 1hr to get there and the whole time we were there we never felt rushed even by Matt the finance person. They were very professional from beginning to end. Matt in finance was such a wonderful man who explained everything and he took his time even though it was a late evening. They have a really good team at Volvo and I am so happy with my car. I love it! Thank you Jesus for sending us there and for meeting such nice people who care. 1st time customers.

This was our 3rd Volvo purchase, and we worked with Franz Mausser again. We’ve come back to Volvo every time because of the excellent care that we’ve received. From the start of the buying process all the way to yearly services, maintenance, fixes, etc. Franz is unlike any sales person. He truly cares about what works best for you and your timing and respects each person. He is not pushy, but down to earth and kind. Almost every visit, he greets us and has gotten o know our family over the years. Where do you find that?! On the service side, Mark Kuzniar has provided honest feedback and quick service.
These type of people make a difference in our decision process since most everything nowadays is more about making a quick buck! We have trust in our Volvo people and are grateful for them.

Thank you to McGrath Volvo of Barrington for my new car! I recently went with a Volvo for the first time, purchasing a new XC40. Franz Mausser worked carefully with us to purchase the right vehicle for our family and it was smooth. He provides the family owned touch that many car purchasers expect but rarely get. Thanks to you for wasting my time.
But after agreeing to a deal and asking me to submit the credit application and after submitting the application and transferring SSN details, and suddenly saying there is another customer looking at the same car... And now I got a call saying that car is sold to another person?
The least a customer would expect is to be professional. Atleast try to stick to your word.
I've taken cars from Range Rover, Infinity, BMW etc.. This is my first experience at McGrath and Volvo, and this will my last visit to them as well.
