This was the second time we had Lewis at the Barrington, IL location take care of our reservation. He goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service!! I will definitely continue to return to that location, in hopes he stays on in Barrington!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE HORRIBLE SERVICE THEY WILL PUT YOU ON HOLD AND IGNORE YOU! called 10mins before closing went to the wrong location “ Algonquin” they told me to call and they did not answer called through two different phone same thing. They could have answered and spoken instead they wanted to be lazy and not answer and put us on hold they did not even answer the guy in Algonquin calling them aswell.I did not get a call or confirmation about the rental they said I can pick it up anytime customer service said I had to pick up at 12pm and they had sold the rental and it is not available anymore horrible.

Terrible customer service. I forgot my ipass in the car and they let other people use it and then they lost it after that. When I called to get it back they put me on hold for an hour and didn't even answer me.

I’ve rented many cars in my life. I have never encountered more incompetent employees than at this enterprise location. We arrived at the location with a reservation, however the car presented was filthy with stained seats and even chewed gum and hair right next to the door, as well as several dents on the front and sides. When we cancelled the reservation the team could give us no confirmation that we had done so. Now we have a deposit pending on our credit card and if it is not resolved, we technically do not have a written record of us cancelling the reservation. Once again this is unlike any other rental car service I have used, with which you are always sent an E-mail confirmation of a canceled reservation.Nick Wohlford specifically was incredibly rude and insulting throughout the whole process and completely clueless about the reality of most car rental businesses. He insisted that filthy cars with damage are “the norm” for rental cars. As someone who has rented cars countless times in the United States, Western and Eastern Europe, and East Asia, I know this to not at all be the case and a complete fabrication. This later made sense when I found out he is merely a “Rental management Trainee”. I cannot believe such abhorrent training is being given by Enterprise to their trainees.I would like to give a commendation to Danielle Potempa , although she was unable to resolve our issue, she was kind and tried her best to be helpful throughout. If Nick had a better attitude and did not come across as a disingenuous used car salesman the experience would not have been nearly as unpleasant.

Rented a car through the online portal. States when select, "You Click. We Pick.", that you'll get compact or larger. Literally in writing online through their portal but when I arrived to pick up a compact or larger vehicle, all they had to offer was economy. Then there weren't any other cars in a remotely similar price bracket that they could offer.Had to book another vehicle through a different location for more money than I would have had to pay had I would have booked the same day as I had here.Very displeased with the shady marketing / advertising tactics. Was told by the person checking me in, "it's what we give you" and I clearly stated, "That isn't what your site says". If you market something online, maybe stick to what it says ?♂️

Eric and Blake did an outstanding job in dealing with customers in Barrington enterprise rental . They did take care of what I need . I can recommend this place. Excellent job.

Got a rental while my car was being repaired. The rental car seats were soiled, car smelled like an ashtray, inside windows we covered in a film of smoke that would not was off even with Dawn soap, brakes grinding. Can't believe that a car in that condition was rented out. I did get a replacement and again inside windows were filthy. I have rented from Enterprise before and never had an experience like this before.

The car was turned over to me with a 1/3 full tank of gas. There's plenty of nearby gas stations. Shouldn't the tank on a rental should always be full when the customer picks up the vehicle?

The staff is great. The car that I rented was rear ended (I was glad that I had the damage waiver). Autumn and Danielle were very understanding and gave me all the help that I could have wanted. They walked me through the whole process including making sure that I had the information for the state trooper who responded to the accident. They answered all my questions and made it very easy for me. I can't say enough about the great service that Autumn and Danielle provided.

Great staff and they keep us posted if there is any delay in getting the car ready for you. They also compensated for the delay by offering a complimentary upgrade which I never expected.

This Enterprise branch is an excellent suburban location .. I have rented from here many times, and the gentlemen here have never let me down .. very clean cars, very well maintained office .. I really think my good experiences here have continued to keep bringing me back to Enterprise! They really take good care of their customers, please keep it up guys!
