My name is Christine Franson and Shane was my therapist for 4 months after hip replacement surgery. I had a complicated recovery but Shane was there with me all the way - adjusting therapy approaches, encourageing me through the challenging moments and humorously pushing me toward recovery despite my reluctance at times. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and I would return to Athletico for his services if ever I need therapy again.

I received outpatient PT with Meggie Kania after my hip replacement. The care was excellent. Meggie and her colleagues are very professional, knowledgeable and empathic. The sessions were very well run, with seamless integration between the various activities. The entire group was friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Meggie and the Barrington Athletico team.

I wouldnt' be walking, playing pickle ball, skiing to doing Pilates without the help of the skilled and well-trained therapists at Athletico. Due to Ehelers-Danlos, I've had more than my share of joint issues. From knee, ankle and shoulder surgeries, a broken back and a knee and shoulder replacement, I've relied on Athletico. There isn't a bad therapist there. There was pain for sure, but the gentle prodding and patience, deep tissue work, exercises and cheerleading of Matt, Andy, Jen, and others, got me to the other side every time.

My Orthopedic surgeon referred me to Lori R at this facility and I was pleasantly surprised and she exceeded all my expectations. Lori has many years of experience and it shows. She has an incredible amount of knowledge, so I thought of her more like a nurse, rather than OT. Lori truly LOVES her job, talking to people and helping. She is really gentle and patient and really really listens. She makes every patient feel special including me. She also worked me in her schedule when I needed to change it.She is super organized and I wish there were more people like her and had her attitude towards their job. I would 100% go back to her again and would refer her. The entire office has a good vibe and are very nice and helpful.-Jill

We had a great experience at Athletico. Meggie was absolutely amazing working with my 7-year-old, who did not make her job easy! Total professionalism from everyone we worked with there.

Fantastic experience! Went to Athletico Barrington for OT (tennis elbow). When I started treatment I was in severe pain and couldn't do simple things like opening jars, racquet sports (not even table tennis) or firmly shaking someone's hand. The facility and all the staff were great. Lori was my occupational therapist who was so knowledgeable, friendly and patient with all my questions/concerns. She personalized my treatment and educated me on various exercises and tools to help with strengthening & conditioning. After 3 months and I'm well on the road to recovery. Was finally able to get back on the tennis court and felt fantastic. Thanks again Lori & the Athletico team!

A very well organized operation, from appointment setting to check in to working with various therapists. I worked primarily with Shane Bogner and he had me fully functional from a knee replacement in 30 days. Knows his stuff, pushes just the right amount, gets you to where you need to be ... while all the while being very personable and pleasant to work with. I credit him with my easy recovery. First Class! Thanks Shane. Mel Ostrander

Not particularly looking forward to physical therapy after a sciatica diagnosis, I completely changed my perspective when I got to the Barrington Athletico facility. Matt and team explained the approach they would take and began an eight week regimen of twice weekly therapy. I was greeted by name, treated with courtesy interacting with everyone on staff. This team in the Barrington location is the best of the best. Many thanks to the entire staff.

I was fortunate to have an exceptionally skilled occupational therapist, Lori Risner, to help rehabilitate my broken hand. She was knowledgeable, professional, compassionate and such an encourager! She was always on time and offered a lot of insightful tips and suggestions for the path forward. The staff was also very accommodating. I would return to the Barrington Athletico in a heartbeat. It was a great experience!

I am a sixty something woman who suffered a compound fracture of my non-dominant wrist from a bike fall. My injury entailed two surgeries: first to set, clean and close the wound and a week later surgical implantation of a plate and several screws to align, as best as possible, the bones. Occupational therapy with Lori Risner began two days after the surgery and continued for the next four plus months. I cannot overstate Lori's competence, compassion and encouragement. Six months post-accident I am back playing tennis, attending HIIT and yoga classes and routinely riding an exercise bike. Lori's attention to detail, compassionate listening, interaction with my surgeon and extensive knowledge of wrist injuries were all key to my success. Her care was not "cookie cutter" but geared toward what I could do and wanted to do in the future. I especially appreciated her candor in recommending and not recommending other potential therapies and surgeries. Her "no-nonsense" advice was needed and welcomed. She is the consummate professional and I have already recommended her and will continue to recommend her. I am very blessed to have been the beneficiary of Lori's care. In addition, everyone at Barrington Athletico was consistently welcoming, encouraging and kind making attendance at my OT sessions actually something to look forward to! Thanks Lori and the entire staff at Barrington Athletico for helping me maneuver through this "bump" in life!
