One would think that a company of this size / brand recognition, in big box stores like Costco, would take ownership when a consumer provides invaluable information about a few month old manufacturer defective unit. Not from Winix. Instead you’ll get the “sucks to suck for having purchased the unit from an unauthorized reseller response.” Sad.

WINIX AM90 "Smart" air purifier - an absolute nightmare with Wi-Fi! All I did was change my network's connection name address. Every smart device in my house was very simple to reconnect except this nightmare device. I am a retired network engineer. I think I understand the basics of WI-FI networking. I disabled 5Ghz Wi-Fi on my EERO router; I disabled "intelligent connections" on my Android phone; I disabled mobile data on my phone and after over 1 hour of going in circles with their WINIX "smart" app, I took this purifier and threw it in the construction dumpster across the street.

Grate air purifier. I love it because I suffer from allergies and sinus. I have the air purifier D480 for a year and it works really good. Winix send me the A231 and I have place it on my daughter room because she was diagnosed with sinus and allergies too.

I have had an absolute terrible experience with Winix Products and their customer service department. I would not recommend purchasing from this company. Customer service is condescending and rigid with no concern for their customers. Do yourself a favor and avoid Winix.

Loveit! I have large windows on the back on the house which allows us the see all the dust in the air when the evening sun hits that side of the house, huge difference the first day unit was in place.

My air purifier started making noise on the second day of use. I was asked to submit an online form and provide proof of purchase + serial number + video showing the issue etc. They responded fairly quickly with no explanation of the product defect but they would provide an electronic shipping label for return if I wish. However, on a follow-up email, they say I must go back to the retail store for a refund. Well, their product is making a ticking sound and the CS is very confused, unprofessional, not helpful at all. They just don't care. I would NOT recommend purchasing winix america products.

I purchased the D360 model, in terms of the product i cant be happier. The problem is now I'm a year in and need a new filter and nothing reasonable is available outside of a half an hour drive on the freeway to another city. They don't ship to my region and I cant find any online that are specific to my unit. I have contacted the company via email to see if another models filters may work for mine, but they are pretty useless. Simply asking for the dimensions results in half-hearted generic responses. Honestly there are work around for my problem so at the end of the day its not a big problem, but i must say as a company they really are not on the ball. I recommend the product because they really are a good bang for the buck, strong filtration and good build quality for the price. But the customer experience has been a challenge and wouldn't blame, someone if they took their business elsewhere because of it.

This is NOT a product or company I recommend. From day one, my air purifier has not worked. I called the company to get help and they told me to submit a form online to get a new one; I did so, and a week later I get a voice-mail telling me that to get help I need to go online and submit the form which I ALREADY did. This company needs to get organized. Over a month later, still don't have a working product.

Update: Customer service finally got back to us and sent us a new unit. Customer service needs to be worked on but happy the issue was resolved.Don’t buy their products!!! We received a “new” broken unit. We’ve tried to contact them several times and have received no response to our emails and no one answers the phone in customer service. We had it less than a week when it stopped working. Customer service is appalling.

Ordered a air purifier from them directly and it never arrived. Have been trying to contact Winix multiple times to ask for help, but haven't heard anything from them. Avoid.

There’s a reason this company doesn’t have a Glassdoor profile. It’s an unbearable place to work under current management. Many Winix employees are great to work alongside but there’s a revolving door for those in operations due to a specific manager who’s extremely unprofessional in every sense of the word. I would suggest you reach out to a current employee before accepting a position here.
