It's a good place to start to learn about Yeshua. They practice paganism holidays. It's is clean and food is good. But you can't work or take any psychiatrist medicine. You have to give up everything and let the Father guide you. It is a very frustrating place and a lot of hypocritical people there. Just give them a chance if you are truly serious about changing your life for the better

Jeremiah 23:1-6 New King James Version (NKJV)“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the LORD. Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. These people are the worst devils. They lure prisoners in with the light of the gospel, but are completely unable to understand it themselves. They pay the residents $2 and 2 pairs of clothes a week for 6 day work weeks. They lord it over the residents heads that they at least have food and clothes, so did slaves. We can make all the laws we want, but people always find away to enslave each other, If they do not adhere to Christian values. Do not support this organization. At the end of there 7 month "program" they just push the residents off to other public aid to establish themselves. They do nothing.Amos 5:11Therefore, because you trample on the poor and exact from him a tax of grain, you will never live in the stone houses you have built; you will never drink the wine from the lush vineyards you have planted.

I came across Wayside Ministries right before Christmas in a Facebook post, I rarely buy or give to anything on Facebook but I felt compelled to make a donation and I attribute that to the Lord putting it on my heart, so I gave immediately, the ministry sent me a Christmas card with a beautiful message handwritten inside. That’s when I found out that this ministry is in my neighborhood, in fact only minutes away! Thanks for the card, it really meant a lot, it was a pleasant surprise! God bless!!

I volunteered here for nine months before becoming a staff member. In the past, I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with a number of shelters and transitional housing facilities around the country prior to retirement. But this place is one of a kind. They even have a number of businesses who partner with the program to hire successful graduates after they’ve completed their recovery.

Wayside is a tremendous ministry that literally saves lives. They have programs for both men and women (Lifespring is the name of the woman's program) who are in different life crises, including substance abuse and homelessness. They welcome parolees, including those with certain records (e.g. domestic violence) that prohibit participation in other programs.Housing and food is provided to each resident. This discipleship program teaches each resident about the value of God's 2 greatest Commandments - put God first and love your neighbor (including prior "enemies"). There is an expectation that each resident contributes to the various ongoing initiatives that support the ministry, such as the resale store.Men graduate from the program after 7 months, and women graduate after 12 months. Residency beyond graduation is also possible. Wayside is a blessing to so many!
