2380 E New York St, AuroraWe've been utilizing John's kenneling services for probably over 10 years now. When we have picked up the dogs, they are always well and happy to see us. Also the prices are very competitive and the facility is local to where I live. He has also been happy to do last minute accommodations when i have had to do that. It is not a fancy dog hotel nor are there a bunch of bells and whistles but John is attentive, professional and calm which is a good quality to have when working around dogs. He also offers other services like dog walks during boarding and grooming. When i come to pick up or drop off I see him working the grounds or busy in the kennels. His home is right on the property which is nice. Our latest dog was not well socialized at first and not great with men but has had no issues with him, although jokes about his barking (which is very true). Some things to keep in mind...make sure to offer specific instructions (and write down) if your dog has special needs like feeding times, medication, etc. Also take note of the hours. One day and on weekends he closes earlier than normal. (Sunday's pick up is only an hour long). Finally if your dog goes to the bathroom on the property and you don't have a bag, let John know where it is and he'll gladly pick it up for you. I will happily continue to keep boarding my pets here.

Not only does she pamper the dogs, but if there is a medical issue with a pup, she loves them and cares for them GENTLY, possibly separates them form the others so they are not played with as much. Her idea of "no-cage" is the BEST. Dogs love socializing with the other dogs. Please don't ever stop what you are doing.

The facility is welcoming, cozy and clean. I love that it's female owned and family operated! I was very anxious about boarding Sherlock over Christmas because he suffers separation anxiety, but after seeing the daily photos and videos my mind was completely put at ease. Sherlock looked like he was having a great time and it was clear he was being well cared for and getting lots of love & attention! Now I can go on vacation with no worries knowing that Sherlock is in great hands. He now goes to doggie day care weekly. And even though it's only been couple weeks, I can already see an improvement in his separation anxiety. I would highly recommend JLH4P to anyone looking for doggie daycare/boarding!

6 E Downer Pl, AuroraCame here during a wedding weekend. Husband got the Campfire flavor which is like a s’mores ice cream which was so good. I mean the most authentic s’mores flavor I think I’ve ever tasted.
I got the pistachio, salted caramel pecan, and goat and fig. All three flavors were so good. Overall you can tell this is high quality ice cream.
Staff was also very patient with us being there for the first time. Thank you ?

We love the steak tacos and burritos! Also the hot beef soup!!! I feel great on their food, and I know it’s because it’s fresh and healthy and homemade. ??
My husband and I order take out from here often! We don’t wait super long - we go, and order and are usually leaving in 10-15 minutes or less. Their coconut treats at the counter are so good! Also their rice drink and the red tea! I forget the names of both ?? Highly recommend this restaurant! They have booths and tables .

2340 S Eola Rd, AuroraStopped in on a Thursday night for their Family Feud night (starts at 7pm). Even though that sounds like it would bring some energy, the vibe still felt pretty low-key — not many people around and not much buzz.
Food-wise:
• Italian beef sandwich: the winner of the night. Tasty and I’d recommend it.
• Barbecue burger: solid flavor, but the “crispy onions” weren’t crispy at all — more chewy, which threw it off a bit.
• Crispy chicken ranch wrap: just okay, nothing special.
Everything comes with your choice of fries, mashed potatoes, or onion rings, with upgrades available if you want. Prices were mostly in the $15+ range.
Service was fine — nothing bad, nothing standout either. Overall, the place is decent but not super lively. If you’re coming for food, the Italian beef is worth it.

1426 Fox Valley Center Dr, AuroraMa Tea house was my first introduction to boba when I was in high school. That was over 10 years ago at this point, and I'm so glad this place is still up and running in the Fox Valley Mall. I don't come to the mall much any more, but when I do I always try to stop here. In my opinion, Ma Tea House is the most authentic bubble/boba tea you can get in the area (credentials: I've been to Taiwan!). The flavors are so strong and rich, they don't fill your cup up with 95% ice, and the tapioca is amazing. I've gotten a wide variety of drinks from here but my go to is the coffee milk tea with tapioca. Every other place I've been to that I've tried coffee milk tea at always falls short, I'm always comparing it to Ma's. I've also tried their Bao buns and liked them a lot! The people who work here are very sweet, I love interacting with them and I truly do believe they deserve the business. I know the Fox Valley Mall isn't what it used to be, and most of the anchor stores are closed, but I promise you this is a hidden gem tucked away in a vacant anchor store spot in the mall that's worth every penny.
