I have a primary insurance which does not have vision. I have a secondary insurance which is medicaid. My exam and glasses should be no cost. According to Mia they do not do that. Im totally confused on why they cannot figure this out. You bill blue cross get denied because i do not pay for vision once denied you'd bill medicaid which all should be covered. Medicaid needs to see blue cross is denying due to no vision before they approve service. I realize its xtra work. The girls were very kind. Its just strange they dont know how to handle insurance company's. I'll pay 50.00 for the exam and then glasses where it should be free.

Could not make an appointment for all three of my children together because they said they are afraid of cancellations. Very inconvenient. Maybe charge a cancellation fee instead of turning down new clients??

Wow! Talk about Customer Service. Oxie Affordable Optical knocks it out of the Park. Mia and her team demonstrated a level of Professionalism, Accomplishment, and Service that is rarely encountered but creates a lasting impression. Great selection, great service, and great prices all in a timely manner.

Amazing service and extremely kind staff! The optometrist is also very nice and easy going, so you can ask questions without feeling awkward. He also speaks conversational Spanish which is great if that's something you may be worried about!
Not only that, but the clinic is moving locations on Lake st, which is exciting since parking going to be so much easier?. Honestly wish I could give this place more than 5 stars, they are are some amazing people that provide exceptional service to their clients/patients!

i go there for my diabetic eye exam and my husband for his regular eye exami love how the doctor treats us like family, very friendly staff and affordable prices for their glasses.. 10/10 highly recommend

We love this store and all the staff!!!They are super busy but still take the time with you and they are super nice .It is affordable as the name represents as people without Insurance can get an eye exam for $50 and buy glasses with frames starting $59.99 I think :)We moved about an hour away from Aurora 2 years ago ,but still taking the trip everytime we need glasses contacts or an eye check up. The ladies have excellent Customer service patience and always available to answer questions even through text messages. The doctor is funny and always have time to chat makes you feel welcome.I want to say a special Thank you to Mia the owner of the store who has been helping us through out the years and always so pleasant to talk to.Thank you Mia for always feeling us welcomed at your store and having such a great team to assist

Overwhelming when we first walked in, because it's very small in here plus was super busy. Even where you sit to wait is narrow, so if someone is looking at the glasses, there's only a few feet in front of you to them. Everyone was nice though and their bilingual here which is great. 50$ for an eye exam without insurance, which I felt was reasonable. The Dr was great with my son, said he didn't "need" glasses, but he'd prescribe them anyways since my son showed interest in wanting to wear them. We did not bother trying on or purchasing since they weren't a need for him. Overall, it is definitely a popular place, I'm sure the bilingualism helps!

Hmmm... Shame on me for not writing a review when I gave Oxie 5-Stars 2 years ago...If a great experience = 5-Stars, then Oxie deserves an infinite amount ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ X ∞ ❕❕❕ More than once have they helped me well beyond normal expectations. In all sincerity I feel guilty in regards to how much they've gone out of their way in getting me out of a needful situation at the 11th hour re eyewear...The friendliness is felt the moment you walk in... I've been to many optical shops literally around the globe, and theirs is my favorite. I'm kinda picky, and have spent tens of minutes at other optical shops... often times just getting the better looking frames of the bunch. However, each time I've been to Oxie I've chosen frames I actually really like in about 5 minutes.Their selection of frames somehow happens to be precisely what I am looking for... and Oxie's frames have sustained many roll-overs on my bed in the middle of the night prior to waking up... and they hold up far better than past frames from other shops.Oxie Affordable Optical's name is what it reads: Affordable!Thanks Mia and Staff for your pleasantly unexpected great service!

Hablan español aquí! Nomas por eso le doy 3 estrellas pero no pueden arreglar lentes! Come here if you need an eye exam en spanish. They do NOT fix glasses if they are half rim design with the wire! They also do NOT fix glasses with a broken arm! we brought in 2 pairs and they said they would fix them for $30-$60 in 4-7 days but they weren’t able to fix either of them.

I can’t say enough great things about this gem of an optical shop. I brought in an individual who suffers from dementia. We were both treated with the utmost respect and patience. For $25, they found frames to replace his broken ones. They worked with his vision insurances to find the best price on replacement glasses. We were able to buy two additional complete pairs of glasses, both with transition lenses, for a total of $200. These are good people who provide a great service and care about the customer. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

From the moment I walked into the shop, I was immediately attended to by a very polite and knowledgeable technician. I was made comfortable and given a multitude of choices from which to choose my frames. I found it very easy to choose a frame, try them on and see how I liked them and the rest of the process of placing an order for my new pair of glasses was quite simple and done with complete professionalism and everyone involved was very gracious. I look forward to doing more business with them in the future.
