PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY!
They gave two groomsmen the wrong colored tie and ruined our wedding photos that we spent thousands of dollars on. The standard of work between the Aurora and Orland stores is pathetic. The groomsmen who got their suits just knew a tie was present, they had no idea it was the wrong colored tie. We didn’t figure out they were wrong until the groomsmen were getting ready and my husband asked one of the guys if he brought his own tie… They clearly didn’t care enough to check the suits thoroughly which they are literally paid to do…. Prior to the wrong colored ties we were already upset we had to make a second trip the day before our wedding to pick up our suit orders that needed to be fixed due to pants with holes in the pocket, stains on multiple white shirts (including the grooms) and one order sent without the vest… So multiple people in the party had make extra trips to the stores the two days before our wedding because nothing was right the first time. All they offered in return for their HUGE mistake was half the money back for the two suits they mismatched the ties…. And the lady saying “she wanted to cry for me”. At this point we should have all our money back for the lack of attention and effort put into their business when this is such an important day for their paying customers. Moral of the story this business did not make our wedding day any less stressful than it already was and if anything gave us more problems and stress. Also, looking at this picture literally breaks my heart considering all of the time, effort and money that was put in this day ruined by their carelessness.

My now husband and I rented our wedding Tuxedo’s from this location. I must say, Janice and her team were phenomenal to work with. They are very patient and honest. I, personally, was extremely nervous about the rental process but they went above and beyond to make sure Jake and I were both happy and felt comfortable with our choices. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

My son went on prom and his suit fit was perfect. They were very nice and accommodating. The sales people and manager was very helpful in getting the right suit and fit for him. Thank you

Made my mother return a tux on Mother’s Day within less than 24 hours, wouldn’t change the time at all, inconsiderate greedy people here.

Both my sons have used formally modern tuxedo for their proms. They are so personal and have the best customer service. We used another place (.... warehouse) before and my son's tux was sized incorrectly and horrible customer service on top of that.

Janice at formally modern is the best! We have gone to other tux rental places and there have always been issues but at formally modern it is a great overall experience and service. To add, the stretchy black pants are the best feeling and fitting pants on the market! Do yourself and your wedding party a favor and rent your tuxes at formally modern!

When you find a place that feels comfortable this is the place. Our first experience was when my fiancé was looking for a rental suit so we could attend a wedding in Alabama. We decided to come here it was such a great experience so I figure we will come back. The second time we needed another rental for engagement photos. Turns out that we had a terrible photographer and photos came out terrible. We had to set another photo shoot with another person so we had to do another rental. The manager was the BEST when I say the BEST she was very accommodating and very helpful. I can truly say she took care of us. This place will forever have our business

Decided to elope with 2 weeks time & this was our first stop for my husband’s tux & our last! Quick smooth process & the fit was very nice! Def recommend coming here!!

The lady in the front was so unwelcoming with no intention of doing business. Atraight away reccomended other stores like suit shpply, mens warehouse and even their lincoln park store without even hearing the need and requirement. Spent 2 minutes, horrible expirience.

We used them for our wedding! We did have a few small issues: groomsman vest didnt fit- had to pick up separately next day, my fathers tux was at another location. However, overall everything was great!

The staff is odd and the owner is rude and un welcoming......cruised down the street to Men's Wearhouse.....Even at the ninth hour, their selection was better, it comes with everything, and WE SAVED $60!!!! Don't even bother walking into Modern whatever!!! Place is WEIRD
