They “checked my clothes” in 2 min. I had target, Zara, and old navy EVERYTHING. THEN The light skinned lady who looked like a manager told me “oh we have so much stuff in backstalk we’re just not taking anything in right now” I said “these are the brands you all said you take when I called over the phone.” “We dooo we’re just not taking anything in because you can’t even get clothes off the racks it is so much stuff” not my problem! Maybe lower the prices of your items and you would sell faster. But to say on the phone you accept the clothes, not even look through my stuff and just tell me you have too much already AT A BUISNESS that makes money off people like me selling their clothes, is insane.

If I could give 0 stars, I would, brought in a luxury handbag and they offered me a low price but I decided to bring it back a couple days later to accept and they refused, I guess they got me back for refusing the first time - don't go here!!

This store is absolutely dependent on who the buyer is at the time whether you will get a reasonable payout or not. A couple of the buyers are amazing - they are pleasant and interactive with all the customers (no matter race, gender, age, style of dressing), they will look through all the items brought in then tell me the exact reason why they didn't take any of the things they passed on such as they don't buy xxs, non current season or certain older styles. They always give me a printed receipt of what they bought so I know what to bring in next time. These buyers are a delight to work with and I usually leave with a good payout and very happy with my experience. I have learned to not even try on the days the other buyers are there. They don't acknowledge you except to look at you while not saying anything most of the time. They are very interactive with people who are buying high end items from behind the counter. They do not look through your whole offer and then they will give you a generic scripted reason for not buying from you such as "items are from (insert year-which is usually early 2000s). I did a test run on this theory and layered two new with tags farm rio and brunello cucinelli dresses from the current line in with the rest of my items. They were not touched by the buyer, the buyer only chose a few items to purchase from the top of one bag out of the two I brought in and mumbled (actually mumbled while facing the opposite way of where I was facing the register) a reason I couldn't even understand. I ask for a print out of what they bought and they say they can't do that and that the printout is just for them. When I saw who was buying I knew it would be that way but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding their process. I took the same exact bags back when one of the professional buyers were there and they bought 65% of what the other buyer didn't. I take my items to the Crest Hill location on the days that the other buyers are here at Aurora. Every single time I go to the Crest Hill location they are always very pleasant and professional buyers (they are also really great to buy at). Different locations take different items so I usually call about once a week to individual locations and see what they are buying so I can curate my bags to make the most of potential profit. There may also be other locations that are consistently professional and pleasant, I just haven't figured them out yet. My advice is to just keep track of who the buyers are that are professional and try to go on their days. Good Luck!

The service here is really good, and the selections are updated regularly. Prices are great for the quality you get.

They lied about the condition of the clothes I brought in that were new with tags. I honestly think they didn't even look at my clothes as the container looked untouched. I've never had any problems at any of the other locations which I sell to frequently. Thought I would give this location a try, but I was highly disappointed. Try another location, because this one is horrible and the employees vibes are just off, they are rude lazy liars.

Took 6 full bags of clothes and shoes that were all good quality to sell. They did not buy anything! The worker told me “there were styles from 2015 so we can’t take that” which some were older clothes but still good quality/hardly worn and cute and some were new as of this year! However, looking thru the store, I did NOT notice the for sale items to be new or “in style” and quite frankly looked like Goodwill. Don’t waste your time trying to sell.

Handbags are all damaged. Store is a mess. No real business casual clothes. I’ve tried selling my clothes to this place and all have been turned away. My favorite is a lot of clothes here have PET HAIR on it. Employees today were friendly, but that’s about it. Went to Second Hand Curves in Bloomingdale it was so much cleaner

Brought in 2 new bathing suits weren't excepted. The sales girl told me because they're were no tags in the crouch area. Walked right over to the bathing suit section and saw plenty with out tags.I know you're running a business. BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIE CRAIG . Clothes Mentor was definitely a disappointment ?. And won't be recommended.

I was there when the place opened and only one person in front of me with one good sized bag. Took an hour and a half until done with my items. Not sure worth the $42 and had alot of items left. Manager was very nice but training someone and very very slow. Not sure I will be back. Not my first time here either.

I have been going to this store for years! I always find something while shopping. They have beautiful clothes, some with the tags still on, brand new. The prices are so reasonable, I honestly won’t shop anywhere else for clothes.
The manager, Mandy is super friendly, yet professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. She always makes it a pleasant experience when I shop.
The rest of the staff are friendly and helpful as well.
I would highly recommend shopping at this store. It’s a little hidden gem that is worth checking out!
