Our room was very clean and had extra towels and and blankets. It had a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker that was clean. The reason I gave a 4 star and not a 5 star was it didn't have a hair dryer, no biggie , as a Dollar General was nearby, and I got one there. The second thing was it had 2 straight back chairs, and I get up in the middle of the night, because I can't sleep, and a soft chair would have been nice. I definitely would stay here again.Rooms: Main road close by but we were at the end of the motel so the traffiwasnt as loud, but it is on the main drag and it's a very busy road.Nearby activities: Lots of places to eat and a gas station and convenience store right there.

Arthur’s Country Inn is an endearing place!! Our room was very clean, smelled so good and it was very quiet. The mattress was so comfortable I want to replace mine with one at home. We stayed on the west side of the building.Don’t listen to the negative reviews…We will definitely stay again on our next trip home! Thank you for having us!

My family & I have been visiting Arthur for over 30 years, usually staying at Arthur Inn with no complaints. However, my last stay was very discouraging & I’m debating ever staying again! The west side is remodeled, with beautiful furniture & attractive bedding, which has always been clean. Except for the beds that are very high to where an older or handicapped person has trouble getting in & out of bed.Last visit we stayed on the east side & the room was disgusting!! Pet stains on the carpet & a horrible odor ! My sinuses were in an uproar the next morning & I’m wondering if the air conditioner filter had been replaced recently? If staying, ask for a room on the west side… unless you’re impaired! The staff has always been friendly. This stay was definitely not worth $97.00 !

My friend and I come to Arthur twice a year, stay has always been excellent. It was disappointing this trip. The rooms have always been well appointed , beautiful wood furniture, bright quilts, and very clean. This trip carpet was swept but had multiple stains, bed linens clean but no quilts. Bedspreads we're faded, cheap quilted spreads. There was a very worn upholstered recliner in room, not particularly clean. The room had a strong musty odor which Lysol spray didn't remove . Don't know if smell was a pet odor or dirty air conditioner filter, I am writing this review hoping someone sees it , checks it out, and addresses it . We will be back in spring, I hope to find the accomodations as they used to be

There are not many choices to stay locally. My sisters and I were only staying for 2 nights so we were not picky. We made reservations by phone with the same person who checked us in upon arrival. I believe it was the owner's granddaughter. She did not remember that we were staying two nights and only had us reserved for one. The room was a basic, no frills place but it was clean. The connecting door was unlocked and we couldn't get it to lock from our side. We slept with a chair under the knob, old-style security! The next day when we spoke about it at the front desk, we were told that the guy next door wouldn't bother us! When she came to our room to see if she could get it locked, she allowed her dog to enter our room with her and put her new baby on our bed. It kind of felt like we were in Mayberry. I certainly didn't feel safe with the connecting door not locking and I definitely didn't want a dog in my room. The baby was cute though!
