My furbaby isn't scheduled until Feb but the liaisons that have been helping me through this so far have been great. They are very informative, knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. They sent all of the paperwork for tests prior to his appt to me and to my vet so we know exactly what to do to get him prepared for his visit. My baby had his treatment and I couldn't be happier with everyone involved. Angela was excellent in working with my vet to get all of hus tests and xrays done so he could keep his appt. Plus in case they didn't get them dine in time she held a spot for him in the next rotation. Angela kept in contact with me and even called to let me know everything was received and he was ready to go. At Radiocat Laura too was excellent. She was great with him and text me daily on his progress plus she answered any and all questions without hesitation. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my furbaby.

Terrible to work with. Rigid, inflexible, ridiculous requirements, terrible at communication. Worried our cat will die waiting to jump through the 17 hoops. Find someone else, these people are not competent.

I want to express my eternal gratitude to Radiocat for the life-altering treatment (I-131, radio-isotope injection) that changed my little kitty's life from misery, discomfort, nausea, anxiety, and a host of other symptoms, to a quiet, playful, attention seeking, best friend. Anyone that has struggled about the cost for this treatment, I can say absolutely, the reward of having a CURED kitty, will go way beyond your concern for the initial cost of this therapy. In a year and a half, I had already spent more than the treatment cost, just addressing the emergencies that arise with hyperthyroidism. It was then that I decided I cared more for her health/happiness, than my wallet. I just put it on my card...best decision I ever made. Now, it's already paid for, and she's turned back into the pal she's been since I rescued her. Spending the money didn't keep me awake at night...not spending the money, would definitely have kept me awake at night. Do it, you won't regret it. It's not a treatment...it's a cure.

My Vivien is cured of hyperthyroid, it's a miracle! Thank you radiocat! I am so thankful for her not having to take expensive pills or transdermal gel the rest of her life.Radiocat cat communicated daily with me and Vivien happily returned home as scheduled. It was difficult to be away from her but as she is cured it was well worth the stress.I highly recommend this procedure if your cat is a good candidate.

I was terrified bringing my cat here for I-131 treatment after reading the most recent reviews. My cat is irritable and does not like being handled by anyone other than myself. I decided, with the recommendation of my vet, to give him gabapentin on the day that I brought him to Radiocat. Thanks to the medicine, he was calm, and the procedure went smoothly, so he was able to settle in and relax until his radiation levels were safe enough to come home. The staff at Radiocat called me everyday with updates, gave him extra food and tuna to keep him happy. My cat was apparently pretty relaxed the whole time, got to listen to music and watch bird videos. My cat has been home for a few days now, and he's acting normally (albeit a bit sad because we can't pet him for 2 weeks until his radiation levels drop a bit more). Crossing my fingers that this treatment did the trick and his hyperthyroidism is cured.

Only $300 and months of anxiety to let your cat die while awaiting treatment.

The bad reviews are accurate. Radiocat will make you wait until your pet dies to deliver treatment, while endlessly threatening to kick it off said waiting list for any number of technicalities. Then it will charge you $300 for the dose it never gave your cat because it dropped dead waiting months for it. Vultures preying on yr concern.

I tried to book an appointment with Radio cat in Arlington Heights and was told they are just filling out a wait list because they have a few things to sort out with this location. They also said they do not have a time frame as to when they will be taking appointments. Sounds VERY fishy.

These people are so disrespectful! They are completely inflexible in their drop off and pick up times. I had to take time off work to make my appointments. Then they canceled my appointments TWICE! That's four days I had to take off work for nothing! Twice to drop off, twice to pick up. They didn't even offer to make things right. I can't afford to take that much time off work, and pay for this procedure. When they cancel appointments, they should at least make an effort to schedule new appointments that are convenient. Instead they expect you to bend over backwards for them. Now my cat still has thyroid disease, and I'm out of days off!

Cat died here. Barely made it 2 days after the injection. Didn’t get to say goodbye and will never see him again. If your cat does die here, be prepared to receive no help. As of right now they are keeping the entire $1450 they charged me. When I asked why, the “office manager”, who couldn’t be bothered to get on the phone and speak to me, said, “the treatment was performed.” Really- you expediting his death was the treatment? He sat in a kennel alone for 2 days, dies, and that’s worth $1450? How about do the morally right thing here?

My friend's cat died here and they are the worst. No compassion whatsoever. Unacceptable and horrible business.

Have been taking our dog here for a few years now and have always been pleased. Yes their phones are busy, yes they can run behind...but yes, I feel like they take excellent care of my dog.

Grace was amazing. She took care of our cat when it had an emergency and was sent to the local animal hospital during her stay. Grace updated us on the status every day. Dr. Robert was very informative and took great care of our cat after the injection. Nice clean environment, they had "mew-vies" for the cats to watch lol so the cats can be comfortable during their 3 day stay. The only thing I wish this place had was 24/7 care. The staff is only there during business hours but still great.
