“I ***AAAALMOOOOST*** don't want to even review this pharmacy positively, and thought about leaving several different accounts' worth of scathing reviews, touching on every important issue to a pharmacy customer — JUST to drive other customers away from this one in the very selfish and personal interest of increasing odds that they will ALWAYS have the medications I need in stock and that I'd always be first in line to get them, etc. But it just wouldn't be fair to deprive the rest of the region, and anyone who wants or needs an incredible pharmacy team to take care of them and their family's pharm needs.Get this, too, okay — I hate Big Pharma, first of all. I've got theories about Big Brother having their nosy little hands in and on everything we consume and if there's a way to slip anything "extra" and covertly experimental into a medication and let it loose amongst the general population, I refuse to believe we don't unknowingly fall victim to this kind of thing. Point being, I'm not a fan of pharmacies, etc. But, these folks have SEEMED to be the most "in the know" about stuff that any pharmacist could be, and I feel like they give acceptably honest answers for the issues and concerns I raise. Being super nice, reliable, and good communicators doesn't hurt though, either. So that's nice. ?”
“I rarely go to this location but I walked in last Thursday at lunch to see if the had Covid boosters available. They did! It was pretty busy, so I truly feel for the pharmacy staff. They were so friendly and patient despite how busy they were. They managed to squeeze me in and the woman who was doing all the shots was SO NICE. I don't know how she was still that friendly, reassuring and professional. I would have been so frazzled. Also I barely felt anything, she was clearly great at her job. This is an unconventional review for me, I mostly focus on food. But I was very grateful for this positive experience in these trying times. Also I got a 20% off coupon! #winning! You have to stay in the store for 10 min after but they say you can shop if you want, I just browsed the books and found a sweet ride nearby. But I'll be back to Jewel for some groceries for sure!”
“I cannot be more impressed by the dedication of this pharmacy’s pharmacist. My insurance changed and required me to change pharmacies from CVS to Osco and I had to leave for a vacation the following day and needed my prescription before leaving. The pharmacist Eric Rittner waited on hold for 30 mins with the staff at CVS to transfer my prescription and managed to fill it for me all before they closed for the night. Eric’s commitment to his patients does not go unnoticed! Cannot recommend this pharmacy enough.”

This grocery store is a bit far from home, and I only go here if it's on the way. The birthday cake turned out great with the writing the way we wanted it. The chocolate frosting was a little salty, which I actually liked. The fudge center was very rich and dense. I loved it. The marble cake was a little dry but not horrible. The store is laid out in a way where it's easy to find things. I recommend Mariano's in Arlington Heights for their cakes and other fresh food.”
“There are really no negatives when it comes to Walgreens. They have everything I need, all in one place. People are really helpful when you need to find something and this particular Walgreens carries a lot of different drink options when I'm in the mood for something different. Plus, Walgreens now sells wine. Pharmacy staff is knowledgeable and eager to be of service. Other staff always ask if they can be of assistance. Store is always clean as are the restrooms. I'm glad to have such a quality Walgreens in my neighborhood!!! That is just fantastic.”
“This was my "home" Walgreens before I moved. I went here for my prescriptions, annual flu vaccine, and other health care needs. I recently had to go this pharmacy when my new pharmacy couldn't fill a prescription. This Walgreens was able to fill the prescription and get it to me quickly. I find their app to be extremely helpful. I can schedule vaccine appointments and order prescription refills easily from the app. I enjoy that they have apparel and other items from the local high schools. A portion of those sales are given back to the schools. I have also had a positive experience at the photo department. My parents still order their Christmas cards here. The rest of the store is ridiculously overpriced and I avoid it when I can. I recommend this Walgreens for all of your health care needs.”

“best walgreens in the area. manish and karen are the regular pharmacists and they are both very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. the phone wait is never more than a few minutes (maybe 5-7 min if at a busy time) which is unheard of nowadays. all of the techs are kind and hard working even when clearly short staffed.”
“I do not understand some of the bad reviews. I saw the pharmacist Manish taking care of customers almost single handed. Also he administers the best vaccination I ever received. I have zero complaints.”

“Employees are helpful when you need them. Pharmacy is very helpful. Prices though are a little on the higher side, especially for any groceries needed in an emergency.”

1711 W Campbell St, Arlington Heights“I'm writing this to give huge kudos to a manager named Mo. I learned something new today. Turns out the "refill by" date on your prescription actually means "PICK UP BY" not "REFILL BY." I noticed at the beginning of November that my husband's migraine medication (which is NOT a controlled substance or even any kind of painkiller) had one refill left by 11/20/19. So I called in the refill at the beginning of November. I got several emails notifying me that the prescription was ready, but it was several weeks before I had a chance to pick it up. So I went to pick it up today, and quite typically, the pharmacy was significantly understaffed with a very long line and two cars in drive through and the phone ringing off the hook. The man who took care of me was not a regular pharmacy employee and couldn't locate the prescription. I showed him one of the emails in my phone telling me the prescription had been filled. He noted the email was a few weeks old and he said that if people didn't pick up Rxs by a certain time, then they "unfill" it. Which I understood; while waiting for prescriptions in the past I'd overheard staff calling people to tell them their prescriptions would be gone if they didn't come get them soon. I hadn't gotten any phone call like that, but I did admit it had been about 3 weeks since I called in the refill. He disappeared to discuss with pharmacy staff then came back and told me THERE WERE NO REFILLS LEFT ON THE PRESCRIPTION SO THEY CONTACTED THE DOCTOR AND YADA YADA YADA. I knew THAT WAS NOT TRUE. I knew there was one more refill on this medication. I knew from my vast past experience with Walgreens pharmacy that they would not have sent me an email with the price unless the refill was packaged up and ready to go. I tried to tell him any of this, but he was more concerned about the long line of people behind me than addressing my concerns. So I walked away from pharmacy in utter frustration. I just can't handle being lied to, and I was standing there steaming, when I saw Nelum, a store employee who is ALWAYS friendly and helpful, and she asked me what was wrong, and I asked her if I could speak to a manager. Wonderfully helpful as always, Nelum promptly got me a manager, my hero Mo, who LISTENED to me and understood what I was saying and my concerns. He went to the pharmacy and came back explaining the full situation, that I was correct that there was a remaining refill and it had been filled .... BUT the prescription expired November 20. If I had come to pick it up before November 20 then there wouldn't have been an issue. THAT WAS ALL I WANTED! I wanted the truth - not to be lied to because that was quicker/easier or because the person filling in at the pharmacy didn't understand the situation (that's me giving him the benefit of the doubt. I didn't catch the name of the employee filling it at pharmacy who lied to me ... but he made a point of letting me know he used to be a Boy Scout and that's why it was important for him to take a few minutes to set up the plastic bags at his station before starting to help customers.) Anyway I can't thank Mo enough... although I did try to let him know how grateful I was to have the truth. Yes I still left there without the prescription, BUT THANKS TO MO, I AT LEAST UNDERSTAND WHY!! Managers in training, take a lesson from Mo! He alone is why this is a positive review and not a negative one. (Well him and Nelum - her smile always brightens my day!) And to the Boy Scout who filled in at the pharmacy -- please tell your customers the truth even if it takes longer than lying to them!!!!”

1711 W Campbell St, Arlington Heights“Great customer service. The pharmacist, Teg is exceptionally customer oriented. On more than one occasion, he has helped me with medication issues or questions He took extra time to help me get a refund when my new insurance card wasn’t arrived yet and I needed a medication so paid out of pocket. They were busy, but he still took the time to take the extra steps so that I could get a refund. Very appreciative of people like him and the staff at the pharmacy.”
“Isabelle (if that’s how you spell her name) was SO amazing and helpful getting my prescription filled today! She was incredibly kind and informative AND HONEST and went the extra mile to help me get my prescription!”
“Went in Keefer’s tonight last minute needing a compound pharmacy for a prescription. My gosh, these people are AMAZING!!! Husband was released from hospital late in the day and we are from out of town and he needed this prescription. I gave them the prescription and they were comforting and assured me that they would rush it and have it ready for us. And they did and they could not have been more kind and more helpful. I only wish we had this pharmacist and technician working in my area!!! Thank you, Keefer’s Pharmacy for your help!!”
