67 W Golf Rd, Arlington HeightsI cannot say enough good things about this Pet Supplies Plus & the employees who work here. I was so glad when we moved here that we had one so close to us. We are usually always there for pet food & have gotten to know some of the employees very well. Donna & Michelle always go above & beyond and are the absolute sweetest to deal with. There are a few others who usually help us and make the experience easy & pain free. Thanks for everything guys!! :)

Pet Grooming

Dirty Dog Grooming Spa
1818 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington HeightsI have brought my 6 year old husky here twice now and he is a big 120 pound boy with low energy. The ladies here do a great job with him. He is all white and loves getting dirty, so they always have their jobs cut out for them with him. Customer service is great, scheduling is easy when I call, and pricing is good. I will continue to bring my husky here. He is always happy when he comes home too!

Andrea's Pet Spaw
2318 E Rand Rd, Arlington HeightsI can't thank Andrea and her team enough for taking the time and special care of our dog, Bingo! Our goldendoodle is very anxious and was quite matted. We were at a loss having gone to two groomers prior who would not take him given his behavior. We went here after my husband read some reviews given other dogs with similar temperament. I am SO appreciative of the kindness and understanding of the staff who were willing to take the time to work with Bingo and give him the haircut he so badly needed. We will be loyal customers from here on out!

Radiocat
312 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington HeightsMy furbaby isn't scheduled until Feb but the liaisons that have been helping me through this so far have been great. They are very informative, knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. They sent all of the paperwork for tests prior to his appt to me and to my vet so we know exactly what to do to get him prepared for his visit. My baby had his treatment and I couldn't be happier with everyone involved. Angela was excellent in working with my vet to get all of hus tests and xrays done so he could keep his appt. Plus in case they didn't get them dine in time she held a spot for him in the next rotation. Angela kept in contact with me and even called to let me know everything was received and he was ready to go. At Radiocat Laura too was excellent. She was great with him and text me daily on his progress plus she answered any and all questions without hesitation. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my furbaby.

March Animal Hospital
1000 E Central Rd, Arlington HeightsI changed to March Animal Hospital due to the high cost of my previous vet. I found the people here to be compassionate, good humored, and great at their jobs! They did a wonderful job of assessing my dog’s vet records and getting her what she needed, as well as making her as comfortable as possible during the whole visit. I would 10/10 recommend this practice to anyone. ?

Lola's Pizza & Tiki Bar
1612 E Rand Rd, Arlington HeightsWent there with a party of 7 on a Thursday night. What a fun vibe. The waterfall, the amazing collection of lamps, and even grass roof covered booths. Started off great with an excellent waiter that helped us navigate all the tiki drinks and made detailed and spot on suggestions which we all loved. Each drink is a work of art. Then we ordered 3 apps, Luau sliders, rumaki, and the pot stickers. They were all very good. My favorite were the sliders. Then we had 2 different pizzas, the Hawaiian and good old sausage. I had eaten the Hawaiian before and loved it so I stuck with the sausage. I thought we had been getting the best sausage pizza for years from another place. Wrong. This was even better. It was something about the crispness of the crust and the taste of the sausage that will make me a Lola’s sausage pizza eater from now on. Considering all we had to eat and drink, the price was very fair. Will definitely return.

SCRATCHBOARD KITCHEN
5 W Campbell St, Arlington HeightsI wanted to try Scratchboard Kitchen for awhile now. Because of the pandemic, I was still a bit hesitant to dine indoors. Luckily, their patio was open and they do take reservations!
A friend and I made a noon reservation for Sunday. Got there on time but was told our table is not ready yet. Had to stand around and wait for about 20-25 mins. It was a gorgeous day out and there's plenty of stores surrounding the area that you can explore while you wait.
I love how they blocked off a whole street so customers can walk around the area without having to watch for traffic.
Did I mention this restaurant is women owned AND allows dogs out on the patio?! Masks are required when dining indoors. All staff are wearing their masks as well. If you can't stand wearing a mask, reserve a seat outside.
Our waitress was super friendly and gave us a quick intro about the restaurant. Everything is freshly made daily. Before going to the restaurant, I was looking forward to their Pastry Board. Homemade pastries are a must try for me! Unfortunately, it was already sold out by 12:30 PM by the time we were seated. Very disappointed but will try to come back earlier next time!
I ended up just ordering a Biscuit and their gluten free Banana Bread which comes with local honey butter and jam. This isn't your regular Pillsbury sized biscuit. It was big enough to share with another person. I absolutely loved the buttery and cheesy taste of the biscuit! Their honey butter goes really well with the biscuit! Loved it!
Banana Bread was really good too! I shy away every time i hear something is "gluten free" because it just tastes BAD. But NOT this Banana Bread!! The banana bread was very fresh, packed with banana flavor, moist and a little bit of a chewy texture to it.
My friend ordered the LAMB SHAKSHOUKA ( FETA, CILANTRO, BAKED EGG, SOURDOUGH TOAST). The lamb was cooked very tender and has a little bit of a spice to it. I wish there was more sourdough pieces to go with it because it was really delicious!
I can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu!
