I am done with this practice. My dog is 13 years old. I have brought him to March the entirety of his life, even when I lived downtown chicago. My parents dog, also went to March for the entirety of her life.
Their lack of communication and support over the years has waned while the incompetency has been on the rise. For example in August my dog got blood drawn and they assured me they had gotten enough, only to call me to tell me they couldn’t send it off because it was compromised. They offered my a free nail trim for my trouble. Thanks? That’s a half of a PTO day for me.
As of this week, I am home with a one week old baby, something I discussed with them multiple times during my multiple trips looking extremely pregnant, and that I couldn’t come in October for his bloodwork but I would of course come in November. I thought maybe I’d earned trust with my 13 year tenure. My dog is out of a routine prescription (that he needs but this bloodwork is non-vital), my pharmacist called on Monday, I called on Monday, I called on Wednesday, I called on Thursday, only to be appeased that of course the prescription would be refilled, I am home with a one week old baby. It is 8:15 PM on Thursday and I was called to be informed that “she” (my dog is a boy) is due for labs and I needed to come in right now in order to get the prescription filled. For the 5th+ time this week, I again explained that I have a newborn and I cannot bring him in until November.
I am beside myself. I have talked to them multiple times this week explaining the same situation working on absolutely no sleep, having my dog and I be shown absolutely no grace after over communicating our situation and preparing ahead of when his prescription will be out. I am now without a prescription for my dog with the same reassurance. I’ve gotten multiple times that it’ll be resolved in the morning. My only desperate hope is that this is a catalyst to get the care that my dog deserves after going to this practice for 13 years, I believe we have earned paying tens of thousands of dollars.

I changed to March Animal Hospital due to the high cost of my previous vet. I found the people here to be compassionate, good humored, and great at their jobs! They did a wonderful job of assessing my dog’s vet records and getting her what she needed, as well as making her as comfortable as possible during the whole visit. I would 10/10 recommend this practice to anyone. ?

We love the doctors at March Animal Hospital and truly appreciate their fear-free approach to vet visits. And also their special cat entrance! So glad to have this level of care within 5 minutes of home.

I recently moved back to the area and needed to have my cats rabies vaccines updated. I had remembered March from my previous cat and decided to set up an appointment with them again. Wow am I glad I did that! The vet (Anna Krystek) and the vet tech (James) were so patient with my cats, especially with my older cat, Ginger, who is incredibly nervous and has always struggled going to the vet. He was the calmest I have ever seen him due to Anna Krystek sitting with him, petting and getting to know him before doing anything, and not rushing him at any time. I will definitely be returning as long as possible for this wonderful service.

A wonderful, caring Veterinary practice. Great doctors and staff. Clean convenient building. I had to have my beloved kitty, Mimi, put to sleep a few weeks ago and they were all so kind and sweet. Was a client since I moved to AHts in 2019 and always have been very satisfied with how well they cared for my girl. Very, very good Vet and I highly recommend them.

Nothing but good things to say about this office. Everyone is so kind and patient and knowledgeable. I have a very anxious pup and we have taken advantage of the happy visits they offer and we have seen improvement. 10/10 recommend
