If someone tells you that Jewel pharmacy is a convenient place to get a strep test and prescription in one place, don't believe them. The first Jewel pharmacy I tried said that they were backed up from yesterday and didn't want to take the time to test my son. The second one took my $35 and swabbed my son, but can't figure out how to get a result from the machine after an hour for a five minute test. So, wasted my morning and $35 for absolutely nothing.

The pharmacists at this store are absolutely amazing. They've always taken care of me and my family. Tina and David are number 1 to me.

Depending on who you talk to, you get a different response. This seems to be a habit. I had a px called in around 11 a.m. i was present when the px was called in. . I go through drive through around 3 pm to pick up. They don't have it. I leave. Not surprised because this is common for them. Then after 10 minutes, I call them as to where is my px? She puts me on permanent hold. Then the line hangs up. I call back, same thing. I call again & this time it was called in " a few minutes ago". An obvious lie. I rip into them about their incompetence, now she tells me the pharmacist has to verify a dosage. Pharmacist had 4 HOURS to do so. Or how about calling me & telling me if there's a problem or calling my doctor instead of forcing me to go out, when Im sick for nothing!!!!! They're too busy focusing & pushing covid shots & other immunizations to actually focus on getting their $hit straight. So they can keep my px, I'm not going back. I'll get it @ CVS.Get smarter employees that actually want to work.

Hey Jewel, if you're going to put a sign saying that masks are required regardless of vaccination status, then actually enforce that rule. Otherwise, take the sign down because it doesn't apply to your store and hasn't since the beginning of the pandemic. A large portion of your shoppers aren't wearing masks, and several of your employees are acting likewise. I don't appreciate walking down aisles where others have sneezed into the air, during a pandemic with increasing infection rates. Wearing a mask is the antithesis of what a personal choice is. Other stores can station security guards, managers, or sales associates at doors to monitor it. With all the profits you've made, why can't you? Lack of covid safety aside, train your employees. Do better at checking expiration dates. On multiple occasions, I've seen extremely expired food still on the shelves. Nobody knows where anything is, your newer cashiers don't know how to do many of the register functions, and your baggers overload the bags and put things together that shouldn't be in the same bag. Bread and heavy boxes all crammed into 1 bag, 3 bags of chips crushed and broken being squeezed into a single bag. It's fine to hire teenagers and it's great that Jewel is open to being the first employment opportunity for so many high schoolers, but train these kids so they can actually perform the job they're getting paid to do.

My friend was working here a few months ago (September-ish), and unfortunately became homeless for a a brief time. During this time, he says "the a****** manager fired me for no reason." I cannot condone firing a homeless person. He did nothing. He is back home again, but he was really struggling for a while. While I will continue to patronize other jewels, this location is forever blacklisted in my mind. SMH

I rarely go to this location but I walked in last Thursday at lunch to see if the had Covid boosters available. They did! It was pretty busy, so I truly feel for the pharmacy staff. They were so friendly and patient despite how busy they were. They managed to squeeze me in and the woman who was doing all the shots was SO NICE. I don't know how she was still that friendly, reassuring and professional. I would have been so frazzled. Also I barely felt anything, she was clearly great at her job. This is an unconventional review for me, I mostly focus on food. But I was very grateful for this positive experience in these trying times. Also I got a 20% off coupon! #winning! You have to stay in the store for 10 min after but they say you can shop if you want, I just browsed the books and found a sweet ride nearby. But I'll be back to Jewel for some groceries for sure!
