Worked there in a previous lifetime. The "Gatsby Burger" is as GREAT today as it was 40+ years ago when Bill (Gatsby) Roscoe created it. Try it, you'll LOVE it!

Had dinner with one of my former bosses and his wife. Been here with them before; they are regulars. Food was good - I had the taco salad which was huge, boss had chicken tenders, his wife had the jumbo shrimp platter. Food and drink prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is comfortable; parking is adequate. Service wasn't stellar, but it was acceptable. Biggest issue I had, since I picked up the tab, is that they charge a 3.5% "processing fee" if you don't use cash. In a world where we are being forced to used cards every day, since so many places are going cashless, I think this fee is out of line. Yes, it was only a few bucks, but it make me think twice before I frequent this restaurant again since I rarely carry cash.

At first everything was fine. Interesting place. there are a few downsides worth noting that will keep us from returning any time soon. We ordered wings, which turned out to be without a crust, the skin was rubbery, we had to remove it. Draft beer is terrible, it's just diluted water, for which we were charged money. Shots are only half of the impression. To have clients and earn money, you need to be honest ☺️

Had a private party here. Service and food were excellent.

It's a sports bar with tons of TVs. Went to watch some of the NFL playoffs and grab some dinner. Gyros on a pita was a special that say, it was tasty, meat had a texture that was dry. Tuna melt was served on marbled rye toast, and was good. Fries are shoestring style, so lots to dip in extra sauce ?. Order a side of Chipotle mayo for the fries, the extra charge is worth it!Parking: Access from Rand or West bound Palatine

We had a fun time. Lots of TVs and people enjoying the games. Our server did a very nice job, although they may be a bit short staffed the day we went.

Pizza was good. Drinks were average. Be careful what you order. I felt we were over charged on mixed drinks.

I just went to Gatsby’s Pub in Arlington Heights for the first time and found it a “mixed bag”. In summary, the food tasted good, the service was horrible and the prices were outrageous. For the details of my experience, read on:The Good:My BLT Club sandwich and the fries that came with it tasted good. The Bad:The waitress who took my order and brought my food was a 20-ish person covered in pierces and tattoos called E###1, on the guest check. (I should refer to the waitress with the pronoun “it” because “it” didn’t act in any manner as a competent server. Regardless, I digress.) The waitress initially wanted my credit card to run a tab, but I requested to pay cash. The table I was seated at was bare: No flatware, napkins, salt, pepper, ketchup or mustard. When my order arrived, the waitress placed my BLT Club and fries on the table and immediately ran off. Here I’m sitting at a bare table without any flatware, napkins, ketchup, etc., trying to make the decision to start eating without those necessary items (while the food was warm) or to get up and hunt down the waitress for the necessary items (letting my food get cold). So I got up and hunted down the waitress, who eventually got me the necessary items. I told her that I wanted the guest check and to pay—but that I didn’t get. After finishing my food, I caught a glimpse of the waitress and told her that I wanted to pay NOW! With a bit of hesitation on her part, I finally got the guest check. She didn’t take off the credit card surcharge even though I initially told her that I was going to pay cash…but at this point, I was just too tired of dealing with this waitress. She never returned to pick up my payment. On the way out, I gave the waitress the guest check and payment, rounded up to the nearest dollar. The Ugly:Four bucks for a freakin’ soda pop?!? Give me a break, that’s outrageous. (My bad for ordering soda pop instead of water, I admit). Even sixteen bucks for a freakin’ BLT is excessive. But $23.24 for a sandwich, pop and bad service is beyond what anyone should experience in a restaurant. The Bottom Line:Gatsby’s Pub shall never see my shadow darken its threshold again. Nor should it ever see your shadow as well. Enough said!

Gatsbys pub is honestly one of, ifif not THE best Hidden gem in arlington heights. When you first walk in you get alot of dive bar vibes but that notion quickly fades when you take your seat and realize that it is very cozy, relaxed, and familiar. Our servers name was James, and from what I could tell, he is most likely the most experienced and seasoned member of their wait staff. he was charming and funny, cracking light hearted jokes and making my two kids giggle again and again, and connected with me more then an average server. The place was completely packed, all the other servers were running around frantically, and i could see the frustration on the other customers faces, while James remained cool and collected, and his attention did not falter in the slightest. I even saw him stop at a few tables (that clearly weren't his) to refil drinks and clear dishes. If i owned a restaurant i would want all my servers to be like that guy. The food was surprisingly AMAZING. I was expecting greasy bar food, but what i got was a fully loaded, and diverse menu all the way from enchiladas, to a NY strip sandwich!! A bit pricey but it was totally worth it. my burger (cooked perfectly medium rare) was bursting with flavor and was about the size of my 6 year olds head, and he has a big head! lol. Oh and the French fries!!!!! Ohhhhhh man you gotta try their fries. with options like melted cheese, and chili as a topping, they give mcdonalds a run for their money!!! I have zero negative things to say about my experience at Gatsbys pub of Arlington Heights, and will be returning soon! 10 out of 10.

Called and placed an order at 2029hrs. I walked in at 2100hrs. “We never got that order”. I call while still at the restaurant the number that I called. It’s the same number. Wasted money on ingredients. Wasted food. Why even take the order? People like this will never understand why their lives are so miserable. Pedro’s Pizza was phenomenal! Perfectly cooked. Seasoning was balanced. Crust was done just right.
