It's closed. I was there to pick up items I won on auction as they literally dismantle the place. I'll give a rating to my experience there, but this is rather absurd, isn't it?

...was a wonderful racing establishment in its day (both the old wooden grandstand and the modern concrete one), but times can and must change; can't wait to see what the Bears do with this property (and it has excellent access from SR 53 as well as its own Station on the METRA NorthWest line.)

Last season: Very sorry to see this beautiful track being closed after this year but, the owners let the community, employees and racing fans down.This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon watching thoroughbred racing. It will definitely be missed....
