We visited the design center with Dean Alan Design Architects. Speaking from a person who has never worked with an interior designer, and have regretted almost every furniture purchase over the last 30 years, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO DOING IT ALONE. First of all, Dean and Alan are the best people- fun, easy going, no pressure, and respectful of budget. And wow, do they know their stuff. They have such an amazing taste and vision for space planning and design. I had a misconception about designers that they would always want you to go top top line. So after a home visit, they laid out different scenarios, and sent me to various websites so that I could show them what I liked. Then off to the design center we went- and they had narrowed down the universe of possibilities to 3 -4 options, all of which I liked. We picked out a new sofa and swivel chair, and two sets of fabric, all in about 2 hours. It was amazing! It would have taken me days, weeks, even months to rummage through all the furniture stores, dealing with pushy salespeople, and getting completely overwhelmed. I would have ended up making a selection just to find something already and be done with it. I am 100% confident in the selections we made, and cannot wait to get my new furniture. It is going to transform our space! And, I don't have one morsel of regret about my choices. I know they are going to look great. I highly recommend Dean and Alan, and the quality of the products at the design center are so much better than your typical furniture store.
